Make It Happen!

Luke 5:16 [NIV] “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

How do you pray in a house with nineteen children? I am sure this is the question on the mind of a lot of mothers. When having two children or even four is a huge challenge on its own. Again, we will draw inspiration from Susannah Wesley. Her children tell us that when they see their mother sitting in the kitchen with her apron thrown over her head, everyone knows that Read the rest of this entry

Will You?

Hab.2:3 But these things I plan won’t happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed. [emphasis added]

Now that we have gotten rid of the challenges to fine tuning, we will turn our focus to fine-tuning and learn how to fine-tune from two prophets in the Bible – Habakkuk in the Old Testament and John the Baptist in the New Testament. Please read Luke Read the rest of this entry

Contend With II

Heb.9:14 [ERV] So surely the blood sacrifice of Christ can do much more… His blood will make us completely clean from the evil we have done. It will give us clear consciences so that we can worship the living God.

The first challenge we have to overcome in the place of prayer and tuning into the voice of the Holy Spirit, is our Commitment and the second is our Conscience. As soon as you overcome the commitment barrier, you need to deal with Read the rest of this entry

Trigger

1 Kings 3:3-5 Solomon loved the Lord and followed all the decrees of his father, David… so the king went there and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings. That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

I was talking to a little girl and our conversation touched on the subject of crying. So I asked her if she ever heard an adult cry, and she said yes. So I asked who? And she said her father. So I kind of mentally tried to prepare myself for what would come next. Then I asked her who? And she said, “My Dad!” I asked again, “You’ve seen your Dad cry?” She said, “yes!” Why, what happened? I asked. And she said, “My dad cries Read the rest of this entry

Will You?

1 Chron.4:10He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request”

Jabez was born dis-advantaged. But Jabez asked and God turned his story around. Will you ask? By God’s grace alone and honestly, for as long as I can remember, there is nothing anybody has that I am jealous of. Nothing! And it is because I discovered God’s heart about asking. He will not withhold anything good from them that love Him. Read the rest of this entry

Just Ask!

John 16:24 [NKJV] “…Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full”

You can provoke God’s favour and make heaven decide on your behalf by Petitioning. A Petition provokes and unlocks favour. ‘Let it please You to favour me, O God! Favour me and let’s see who will question You.” Read the rest of this entry

Death To Life I

“Son of man, these bones are the entire community of Israel. They keep saying, “Our bones are dry now, picked clean by scavengers. All hope is gone. Our nation is lost.” Eze.37:11 [Voice, emphasis added]

Many times, we find ourselves in situations that can best be described as a dry bone situation. Some of us are far gone in that spectrum as it were. The situation is dry, dead, forgotten, and scattered. On the other side is the situation that is filled with life and abundance. And everyone is somewhere on this spectrum. That situation you are faced Read the rest of this entry

Why Pray?

And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven” Matt.16:19

I pray that everything that is dying in your life and ought to be alive, will be resurrected and Jesus alone will be glorified. Please read Ezekiel 37:1-14. Ezekiel had a very dramatic prophetic experience. God took him to the valley of dry bones. God was trying to pass a message to Ezekiel that these people are going to move from death to life. However, this situation was not like any other. These people had died, the flesh dried from the bones, and all that was left were the bones. Take note that the bones were not arranged, they were scattered and the Bible describes Read the rest of this entry

Two-gather

“Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Amos 3:3

The Principle of Concerted Action simply states: Unify and bring all elements of your force to work together simultaneously in the achievement of your aims. Unify all the elements of your force and bring them together simultaneously. Bring your forces together and unify the coordination. Let things work in tandem with each other. You might be wondering how this can apply in your life. Well, ensure you come with a journal to Read the rest of this entry

Life Lessons

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not reject” Ps.51:17

The second lesson from the life of Hezekiah is, he sought out those who will help him. In seeking those who will help him, Hezekiah did three things. He restored the Levitical priesthood [Please read 2 Chro.13:17]. He re-established the Passover [2 Chr.30:1]. And Hezekiah sought out help and counsel from Isaiah. He sat down with Read the rest of this entry
