Faith Overrides
Mark 5:22-23 Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.”
Faith Is A Certainty That Leads To Action. The knowing that goes beyond intellect and reasoning. At some point in our lives, Sunday evenings were for evangelism. My wife and I were not pastors then but after church, on Read the rest of this entry
Faith is… Action!
James 2:14 & 18 (GNT) “My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you? …My answer is, “Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions.”
The third thing faith teaches us is, Faith, Is About Who And Not About What. Our faith is in a Person (Jesus) and not in a process. 2 Tim.1:12 “…I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.” (emphasis added).
Faith is… Whom!
2 Tim. 1:12 (NCV) “…I know Jesus, the One in whom I have believed. And I am sure he is able to protect what he has trusted me with until that day.”

Isa.46:3-4 “Listen to me…I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
Jesus did not prioritize the dying girl over the bleeding woman. Even in this God was making a big statement to Jairus. You are concerned about your little girl; I am also concerned about My little girl. This woman is My little Read the rest of this entry
Faith is… Flow!
Ez.37:1 & 10 “The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones… So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.”
The first thing faith teaches us is this, Faith Overcomes Fear and Shame. The second thing faith teaches us is, Faith Inspires Boldness But Requires Humility. Jairus was a synagogue leader but he defied the convention. These Read the rest of this entry

Mark 5:33-34 “Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Jesus could have said, “Woman! Why are you trying to make me unclean?” But Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” With this statement, Jesus did three huge things in the life Read the rest of this entry
Be Deliberate
Mark 5:28-29 For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.
Mark 5:27 “She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe.” Unlike Jairus, this woman did not approach Jesus from the front. She was afraid because of her condition. She probably Read the rest of this entry
Faith is… Come!
Heb.4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
Please read Mark 5:21-43. For twelve years this woman was bleeding. For twelve years Jairus was rejoicing. If you have a daughter, you would understand what I am saying. Daughters are the best, no offense, please. Read the rest of this entry
About Time
Luke 5:8,10-11 “When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.” Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” … they left everything and followed Jesus.
It is God’s goodness and His kindness that leads to repentance. When people come to the realization that there is nowhere and no one outside God that can heal, save, deliver, and renew, they genuinely turn to God. Peter had Read the rest of this entry
