Gratitude

“So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me” John 11:41 [emphasis added]

You need to respond appropriately to God. Yesterday we looked at three responses and today we will drill even deeper into those three responses. Ezekiel’s Response: “Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.” Eze.37:3 [emphasis added].  What Ezekiel was saying in essence is, how can I boast of such knowledge? Fantastic response.

Mary’s Response: “Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” Lu.1:34 Fantastic response. Mary’s response showed that she was seeking knowledge and understanding. But Martha’s response was very different from the other two. Read the rest of this entry

Keep Pushing!

“Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on water towards Jesus” Matt.14:28-29

Miracles happen outside of your comfort zone. Sometimes, people experience God leading them in certain directions in their finances. Directions that force you to question the leading and you think, God, are You leading me to do this? You hear people ask questions like, how can God ask me to give my all? Do you know how long I have waited for this break through? It is because the miraculous happens only outside your comfort zone.

Step Out

“Elijah said to her… make a little bread for me first then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son… So she did as Elijah said, and… there was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised…” 1 kings 17:13,15-16.

It is one thing to believe in the supernatural, it is another thing to be open to the supernatural. It is one thing to have the supernatural at arm’s length, it is another thing to embrace the supernatural. Do you desire to be open to the supernatural but you are wondering how to go about it? To be open to the supernatural, you must know two things.

#1.       Miracles happen outside of your comfort zone. The first thing you have to understand is that the miraculous happens outside of your comfort zone. Miracles do not happen in your comfort zone. Imagine your Read the rest of this entry

iBelieve

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25-26 [emphasis added]

It is one thing to believe in the Person of Jesus, it is another thing entirely to believe in the Power of Jesus. I have friends [even pastors] that are believers in Christ Jesus, the person of Jesus. But they doubt the Power of God. I say to them and I am saying to you, the Power of God is real. God is saying to you today, beyond believing in My Person, I need you to believe in My Power. It is one thing to believe in who He is. It is another thing entirely to believe in what God can do. Close your eyes and focus on that issue. Jesus is saying, I need you to believe in what I can do. I Read the rest of this entry

He Is Able!

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25-26 [emphasis added]

When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32 [emphasis added]. Mary and Martha’s responses show us that the Jesus they know is the Jesus that can heal the sick. And sometimes, God allows us to go through situations that would make us perplexed, just to show us that He is still the same Jesus, that can not only heal the sick but can raise the dead.

A Child’s Heart

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him” Prov.22:15 [NKJV]

You need to accept the fact that people will always talk. And like we said yesterday, it was not any different in Jesus’ time. So just make up your mind to be all that God has created you to be and do not entertain people’s opinions. Sometime last year, the story of the Baltimore mum made headlines. A young man was practically killed by the police in Baltimore and so a riot broke out. The youngsters took to the streets to protest and before long it turned into looting and all sorts of lawless behavior.

Because He Lives

“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.” John 11:39

Lazarus was not only sick, he died. He did not only die, he was buried and he had started decaying. In other words, bacteria and fungi had begun to feast on him, releasing  ammonia or whatever waste product they release that causes the stench of a dead body. By now the irreversible appears to have happened. By now Jesus, it is impossible for You to do anything. Because Lazarus came back to life, everything that represents Lazarus in your life will come back to life. Because Jesus is alive, it will come back to life. I beseech you [using Paul’s terminology], do not take this season Read the rest of this entry

With God

“Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!” Eze.37:4

To go from death to life, you must realize that to go from desire to result, you need prophetic action. You have been getting prophetic messages into your dry bone situations already. There are two things when it  comes to prophetic messages. The first thing you and I must know is that prophetic messages are instructed. The Bible says Jesus has made us kings and priests unto God. God’s prophetic instruction to you is, “…say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!” Read the rest of this entry

Principle Of Honor

“You must present one-tenth of the tithe received from the Israelites as a sacred offering to the Lord. This is the Lord’s sacred portion, and you must present it to Aaron the priest” Num.18:28 [emphasis added]

At one of our vigils, worship was really intense and beautiful, and I felt the Lord say that people owe Him tithe and He wanted to forgive them. I have never heard that before. We were taught that if you owe God tithe, you will pay back with twenty-five percent interest. Have you heard that before? But the Holy Spirit said He wants to wipe it off. Holy Spirit can mess up your theology. He is God and He reserves the right to do as He pleases.

Persistent Faith

“I tell you, He will defend and protest and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 [AMP]

Even if you die believing, die believing. Believe God! “Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:6-8. The problem with us is that we give up so easily in our hearts. Believe me it is a problem. Jesus says, “But how much of that kind of Read the rest of this entry
