Taste Berry!

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” Rom.2:4 [NKJV]

Gratitude they say is like a taste berry. A taste berry is something that once you put it in your mouth every other thing you eat afterwards is made sweet, even the bitter things become sweet. Thanksgiving is life’s taste berry; it makes every other thing that comes afterwards sweet. Start your day with thanksgiving and let it set the tone for your day. Read the rest of this entry

Give Thanks!

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Ps.136:1 [emphasis added].

Many times we do not stop to say thank you profusely enough at God’s goodness. Let your thanksgiving be commensurate to how much you desired the breakthrough. If the breakthrough requires you to fast and pray, maybe the testimony should require you to dance and rejoice. Dance before God. Rejoice before your Maker. Give thanks to the God that has spared you and kept you in spite of the pain. With all that we are if we are anything at Read the rest of this entry

A Crown

“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance” Ps.65:11

I am declaring over you today that God will crown this year with His goodness for you in Jesus Name. What does it mean to crown? A crown signifies three things; first thing is a crown dignifies, adorns, and it honors. A crown on your head is a sign of dignity and honor, it adorns you. I am praying in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that before this year runs out, you will be dignified, you will be adorned, and you will be honored. God will crown this year with His goodness for Read the rest of this entry

Is That All?

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he good! His faithful love endures for ever” Ps.136:1

It is only the living that can complain but guess what it is also only the living that can give thanks to God. Which would it be for you? Regardless of what you are going through, the fact that you are alive shows that God is not done with you yet and this is reason enough to give thanks. Many times we do not give the thanksgiving that is commensurate to our breakthrough, or even commensurate to our request for the breakthrough. We pray and wait on God for something Read the rest of this entry

“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance” Ps.65:11

We are totally grateful to God for the One who brought us into the first day of 2015 has brought us to the first day of the last month in 2015. We can confidently face the remaining days in this year and look forward to 2016 because God is good and He is able to do what He has promised. This year has attempted to take some of us with it but it has failed and we will see 2016 and beyond in Jesus Read the rest of this entry

In Word And In Deed!

“When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” Matt.21:39-40

We established that serving is a three-fold call. #1. Serve the people you are with.

#2. Serve in the church you are in. Just commit to serve in church. There is a group of people that clean the church. There is another group that cleans the convenience. There is a group that is in charge of aesthetics. Another group handles content and multimedia. There is a group that ensures Read the rest of this entry

Saved To Serve

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves” Phil.2:3 [ASV, emphasis added].

We are saved to serve. Perry Nobel says, “Saved people serve people”. I attribute this statement to him because I have heard him say it the most. If you are saved, you are saved to serve. “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves” Phil.2:3 [ASV]. I trust that you are fired up to serve and the only question on your mind now is how Read the rest of this entry

True Humility

“Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God” John 13:3 [emphasis added]

Scripture is clear, Jesus knew who He was. He knew how powerful He was. Many of us think people are humble because they are downtrodden and they do not know who they are. Humility is “knowing” who you are and laying it aside. False humility is trying to pretend that you do not even know who you are. True humility is “knowing” who you are and laying it aside. Jesus knew who He Read the rest of this entry

Servant Spirit

“…You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servantMatt.20:25-26 [emphasis added]

He who wants to be the leader must be the servant. “…and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slaveMatt.20:27 [emphasis added]. As though the word servant is not graphic enough, Jesus went on to further define it with the word slave. So it is not about “big man-ism” but rather it is about “big God-ism”. I know some of us will struggle with this but that is the Read the rest of this entry

Criterion

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slaveMatt.20:26-27 [emphasis added].

The fifth thing that the early church was big on is Service. Jesus, the Son of the Living God that instituted the Church was Himself an epitome of service. Please read Matthew 20:20-28. James and John the sons of Zebedee, thought to themselves that even though Jesus has twelve disciples there must be a number one and number two. So they sought the help of their mother who went to Jesus Read the rest of this entry
