In Response To…
2 Chr.16:9 “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him”
The second way to provoke God’s favour and make heaven decide on your behalf is by Pleasing God. You can provoke favour by pleasing God. Pleasing God unlocks God’s favour. Ruben was in line to receive the double blessing but he went out of favour with Jacob. May you not go out of favour, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry
Will You?
1 Chron.4:10 “He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request”
Jabez was born dis-advantaged. But Jabez asked and God turned his story around. Will you ask? By God’s grace alone and honestly, for as long as I can remember, there is nothing anybody has that I am jealous of. Nothing! And it is because I discovered God’s heart about asking. He will not withhold anything good from them that love Him. Read the rest of this entry
Just Ask!
John 16:24 [NKJV] “…Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full”
You can provoke God’s favour and make heaven decide on your behalf by Petitioning. A Petition provokes and unlocks favour. ‘Let it please You to favour me, O God! Favour me and let’s see who will question You.” Read the rest of this entry
Provoking Favour
Rom.9:15-16 “For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it” [emphasis added].
Excellence glorifies God and inspires people. In your office, ensure that you are the most skillful because that is your greatest witness as a Christian. Let people say concerning you, “He or she is the most skillful person here.” In business, let your customers say, that organization is the most skillful organization we have encountered. Get an education. It is reckless to think you can replace getting Read the rest of this entry
Favour Magnet
Deut.28:2 [NKJV] “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God”
What are those things that the Holy Spirit has been prompting you to work on and what are you waiting for? God is prompting you to work on your fitness so that you will be strong, but you are sitting tight and saying “By the grace of God”. Stop giving God a bad name! Do not get me wrong I do believe in miracles but I assure you, this is the secret of greatness right here in the Word of God. Read the rest of this entry
Ten Over Ten
Ecc.9:11 “…The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives….”
Favour will open the door and give you an opportunity but, if you are not strong, fast, skillful, educated and wise, that opportunity will pass by. If you do not work on your speed, your strength, your wisdom, your skill, and your education, you will miss it. However, you will be fast, you will be strong, you will be wise, you will be skillful and you will be educated. So for you to Read the rest of this entry
Capacity
“He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would wonderfully bless me and help me in my work; please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all evil and disaster!” And God granted him his request” 1 Chro.4:10 [TLB]
Favour will open doors for us where nothing else can. But we all still need skill, wisdom, speed, strength, and education. When favour opens the door, it is skill, wisdom, speed, strength, and education that will keep you in the room. For example, a boy gets an all expense paid scholarship to Harvard. That is favour. But you will agree with me that he still needs to read his books, go to Read the rest of this entry
Clarity
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” 2 Tim.3:16 [NIV]
“I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time” Ecc.9:11 [emphasis added]. Read the rest of this entry
At The Roots
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Rom.8:32 [NKJV]
If you check, you will find favour at the root of every rivalry. One person has been favoured above another. So the other person is jealous, bickering and comparing himself with the favoured person. If you cannot stand people being jealous of you, you cannot stand favour. God is going to favour you but you have to be comfortable with people being jealous of you. Get comfortable Read the rest of this entry
Cost Of Favour
“For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.” Rom.9:15-16 [emphasis added]
You will not go very far if you think you have to deserve everything you get. For where God is taking you to, you are going to get things you do not deserve. So do not feel bad or become apologetic. Just thank God for His favour and for giving you what you do not deserve. If you wait to earn everything, you are going to be very slow in this life. God is saying to you, I am going to Read the rest of this entry
