True Repentance III
‘Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12
‘Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more” John 8:10-11. That means the power to sin no more is resident in anyone that follows Jesus because the Word of God says anyone that follows Jesus does not live in darkness. ‘Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life” John 8:12. That is the key! Jesus didn’t say, “these things will go gradually. You were sleeping with twenty men in the past but now they are just five. You are trying”. Jesus didn’t say, “you previously had five sex partners but now you have one that you are maintaining. You are trying, you have come a long way”. The reason a lot of people remain in the captivity of sexual sin is because they excuse themselves. God is saying to you today, “Go and sin no more”. But I have good news for you. If you continue God will expose you, embarrass you, and He will make you a public spectacle. He will do that just so you can find true repentance. I can give you several examples, when God exposed their sin then they fell on their faces. But as long as they keep doing it, they will say a short prayer that usually reads something like this ‘God forgive me, I cover myself with the Blood of Jesus. You say that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us’. They say this prayer before going to church because they know that church is dangerous and something can happen to them but they don’t want to change. They step out of church and continue in sin. Who are you deceiving? You will find repentance today, in Jesus name. After God had dealt with David, he said to God ‘Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight’ Ps.51:1, 3-4.But you see God is saying to you today, “are you going to find true repentance or are you going to linger and wait for the explosion”. When you read 1 Samuel 16: 1-13, another thing that stands out is God selected David. God skipped Eliab, skipped Abinadab, skipped Shimea, skipped four others and selected David. For God to do that, God said concerning Eliab ‘I have already rejected him’. I am praying today that that will not be your testimony from God. What made David acceptable and made Eliab detestable? Your Heart

Many of us have experienced those seasons where your heart questions ‘what is God doing? He is not answering prayers any more’. And it seems as though the wait is forever. Some of us opt to look for an alternative or better still do things ourselves. The truth? You are short changing yourself. Anti-Seduction Strategy II

Anti-seduction strategy two: Access Control. For instance, everybody can log into a network but not everybody has the same access control. Some people can access some files while some people cannot. Some people can get to some certain servers while some others cannot. Some servers are even demi-literalized zones [DMZ]; you do not even know they exist. Satisfaction is only promised when we channel this seemingly insatiable desire to righteousness. Jesus says ‘blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness. ‘In fact some people even try to fill the hunger and the thirst in them with reading the Bible but with the wrong motif. Some read twenty chapters of the Bible daily. Should you read the Bible? Yes! Should you read twenty chapters? Yes, but when you are reading the Bible you should be seeking the person Jesus. His Word And His Voice

With God, sitting on the fence translates to being lukewarm. Some of us are unable to commit because we are afraid to make mistakes. Yet your commitment shows God and heaven that you mean business. I could trace the dramatic change in my life and the power of God to milestones in my commitment to purity.

When God wanted to announce Himself to Moses He said, ‘the Lord, the Lord gracious, compassionate, full of mercy, slow to anger’. This is how God described Himself to Moses. Pure In Heart
‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.’ Matt.5:8 [NIV].
If there is something that is pervasive in this generation it is that purity is something of the past. People are insisting that this is the twenty first century and that purity is a thing of days past. Guess what, God is the Ancient of Days, He does not grow old, and He remains the same. With God And With Men II
‘Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body’ 1 Cor.6:19-20.
God says to us clearly that we do not belong to ourselves anymore. You have a stamp on you that reads, ‘property of the Most High God’. Therefore, you cannot be single and giving or receiving oral sex. You are sinning! You need to repent and ask Jesus to cleanse you. You have no business with oral sex if you are single because you are defiling yourself regardless of whether you are a biological virgin or not.
