True Miracle
“Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” Matt.10:7-8 [emphasis added]
A miracle is something that would never have happened if God had not intervened. A miracle reverses or suspends the natural flow of things. Systems are governed by laws such as the law of surface tension that permits a mosquito to stand on water but not a human being. But Jesus suspended that law when He walked on water Read the rest of this entry
The Advantage
“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you” John 14:17
If you engage the Person of Jesus and deploy the principles of Jesus you get the miracles of Jesus! Engaging only His Person will give you comfort and eternal security. Deploying only His principles will give you success. But the intersection of the Person of Jesus and the principle of Jesus is the miracle of Jesus. So if you Read the rest of this entry
What Will It Be?
“When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. “My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried” 2kings 13:14.
The pain of every leader is to look back and not find anyone following. The pain of every leader is to look back and not find anyone willing to pay the price necessary for leadership. This was a pain that Elisha was familiar with. He looked back at his life and the only son of the prophet that came close was Gehazi. Gehazi had the opportunity to collect a double Read the rest of this entry
Love is … I
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love” 1 Cor.13:13
Love is a person – God is love. Love starts from the Person of God in your heart. If that does not exist, everything you do outwardly will be a noisy gong and a clanging cymbal. “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love” 1 Cor.13:13. This means that love is the highest expression of life. There are things that we see and say this is love. For instance, a man Read the rest of this entry
Count The Cost!
“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart” Col.4:2
“When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him. It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it. Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved. Talk is cheap, like daydreams and other useless activities. Fear God instead” Ecc.5:4-7.
Know The Enemy I
“The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other… Gal.5:17
Permit me to reiterate our last thoughts from yesterday. God is a Godhead [God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit] and I have inherited His enemies. To fully understand the enemy and how it works you need to know the enemy of the Father, the enemy of the Son, and the enemy of the Holy Spirit. Read the rest of this entry
The Godhead
“All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him” Luke 10:22 [KJV]
The Godhead is a Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. To understand God, you must understand and relate with each member of the Trinity. You must understand that even though He is one God, He is three persons [three personalities]. As a believer you must know how to relate with the Father, you must know how to relate with the Read the rest of this entry
Domestic Affairs III
“Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly” Col.3:19
“Husbands, love your wives [be affectionate and sympathetic with them] and do not be harsh or bitter or resentful toward them” Col.3:19 [AMP, emphasis added]. That word affectionate there means to be romantic. Men, God is saying be romantic, it is in the Bible. Chivalry should not die, be romantic. Some gentleman came to me and said he had been Read the rest of this entry
Freedom vs. License?
“Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism…” Rom.6:1-2
Grace is freedom from sin, grace is not license to sin! If you do not understand grace, you would think grace is license to sin. You would think it acceptable to sin and you can always come back to the Blood of Jesus for cleansing. That was what Paul was addressing when he said to the Romans should you continue sinning so that grace should abound, God forbid. In Read the rest of this entry
Fly Again
“Then he said, “The truth is, you must change your thinking and become like little children. If you don’t do this, you will never enter God’s kingdom. The greatest person in God’s kingdom is the one who makes himself humble like this child” Matt.18:3-4.
Over the next few weeks we will be learning how to make our lives count and I am confident that God will change your lives completely. This was birthed from a process God took me through. When we were growing up a lot of us, if not all of us made statements like this, ‘when I grow up I want to…’ ‘When I grow up I will…’. But recently, I realized that I now say ‘before I Read the rest of this entry
