The Workings II
Gen.26: 12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great” [KJV]
There is a seed for every need. If you want to be anointed, there is a seed. Pay the price and get anointed; heaven is not a respecter of persons. The problem is a lot of people are not willing to pay the price. While there is a seed for every need, there are also certain seeds that you do not sow. For instance, if you want a good relationship there are certain seeds you do not sow. Prov.16:28 “A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends”. The Application
2 Kings 3:15 “Now bring me someone who can play the harp.” While the harp was being played, the power of the Lord came upon Elisha, 16 and he said, “This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water!”
Elisha had the right seed, the right Word in his heart. He had the right soil but he did not have the right conditions and so he could not prophesy and miracles could not happen. Elisha understood this principle so he requested for a minstrel. Read the rest of this entry
The Son’s Heart
Matt.6:10 “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” [KJV]
Every Son knows the ordinance of His Father [the ways of the Father]. Remember when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and satan said to Him, “If you are the Son of God [you know the ordinance of heaven], turn these stones into bread”. But Jesus said, “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word…” What Jesus was saying in essence is, “Even though there is a formula to turn stones into bread, it is not the heart of the Father for Me to turn stones into bread”. I hope you get this.
Proper Perspective
Deut.18:9 “…be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations… 10 For example, …fortune-telling …sorcery …interpret omens …witchcraft, …cast spells 11…mediums or psychics… 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord…” [with emphasis]
God says anyone whether pastors, prophets, evangelist, apostles, believer, non-believer, whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord. The fact that people throw a cloak of Pentecostalism over fortune telling does not change it from divination as far as heaven is concerned and heaven detests it. Deut.18:13 “But you must be blameless before the Lord your God. 14The nations you are about to displace consult sorcerers and fortune-tellers, but the Lord your God forbids you to do such things.” Let your ears hear what the Spirit is saying.
Settle It!
Ps. 119:39-42 “Save me from the insults I fear . . . I want to obey Your commands . . . . Show me how much You love me, Lord. Then I can answer those who insult me.” [GN, with emphasis]
The Psalmist here is saying if God loves me, I can handle anything and anyone. The Psalmist was being vulnerable to God and owning up his struggles with approval addiction and the opinions of men. He was admitting that deep down he is afraid of what people really think. But he is saying, Lord if you will show me how much you love me all that will mean nothing. A major key to a wholesome life is being secure in God’s love.
Power
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
I am confident that your life will not be void of power. All God asks for, is that you give Him all the glory, all the credit. God wants us to acknowledge that power belongs to Him. The only time we will run into problems is when we attempt to share in God’s credit [glory]. God does not really like that. King Nebuchadnezzar attempted to share in God’s glory and God caused him to eat grass for seven years until he gave all the glory to God and acknowledged that the Most High rules. Power belongs to God. I take time out before Read the rest of this entry
Confess & Forsake!
Prov.28:13 “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” [with emphasis].
Enjoy It
John 10: 10 “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” [AMP].
When we pray for God’s blessings I see people struggle with such prayers. And the reason they struggle is because they do not understand that God really wants them to be blessed. I have come to announce to you today that God really wants you to enjoy your life. Let me explain with the example of eating since it is a related craving for physical pleasure. God did not have to give man taste buds if the sole purpose of food was for nourishment. In reality, you can be nourished without tasting the food. There are people that Read the rest of this entry
Your Worth
Rom.8: 32 “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.”
I agree that there has been a lot of abuse on claims that “God said…” but you must know how to deal with it as a child. When someone comes to you with, “God said xyz”, you simply tell him or her to wait because you need check with your Father. He is your Father and you can check with Him. Some people will get upset with you because they do not expect you to do that. But do not take their word for it. I am not saying you should not trust people. I am saying you should check with God because God sent Jesus so you can have access Read the rest of this entry
Praise God!
Ezra 3:11 With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord: “He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid.” [emphasis added]
Scripture says, they sang this song to the Lord: “He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Remember that these people had just come from captivity to meet Jerusalem in shambles, in rubbles. They had just managed to lay the foundation of the temple. Note that they did not just say for the Lord is good, which would have been fantastic. But they said for the Lord is so good. How do you say, “God is so good” when all you see is rubbles? How do you say, “God is so good” when you are at the beginning of the Read the rest of this entry
