Religion vs. Relationship
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me” Matt.15:8.
No matter how legitimate the altar is it cannot take the place of God. Another legitimate altar we tend run to and grab on to but fails us is ‘men of God’. Thank God for ‘men of God’, I do not have anything against them, but a man of God cannot substitute God. It is totally impossible no matter how anointed he is – he Read the rest of this entry
Hot Or Cold?
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Rev.3:15-16 [emphasis added]
The problem with a lot of believers is indifference. God’s Word is clear on the direction, God’s mind on every subject is clear but some believers are just indifferent. Jesus says, “You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference” Rev.3:17-19 [emphasis added]. Read the rest of this entry
Mercy And Love
“And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.” Heb.8:12 [TLB]
“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much” Eph.2:4 [emphasis added]. It is just so amazing that God is not only rich in mercy; He is also very rich in love. God is rich in mercy and He is full of love. I was walking down the street and something caught my eye, a father and his son were having a coaching lesson. The grass was green and the pitch was set, the father placed the ball in the penalty Read the rest of this entry
The Key
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” Phil.2:9-10
The key to Jesus’ Lordship entering your life and subduing every other power is in this scripture. “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow”. It is simple, every knee should bow – yours first. The bowing of the knees must begin with you. You have to be willing to bow your knees to Jesus first. If you refuse to bow your knees to Jesus, the things that are subject to Jesus Read the rest of this entry
Believing Is Seeing
“For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him” Col.1:16 [emphasis added].
There are some things that are not seen. All you see is not all there is. There is more to life than meets the eye. Do not waste your life thinking that all you see is all there is. Even the biggest telescopes cannot see what is happening out there. Do not limit yourself by saying ‘if I don’t see it I can’t believe it, seeing is believing’. With God, believing is seeing. In fact, some things are not Read the rest of this entry
Mirror Image
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation” Col.1:15
Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. In other words, even though God is spirit, but when you look at God who you would see, is Jesus. If there were a mirror large enough to capture God’s face and God stands in front of it, His mirror image would be Jesus. Jesus existed before anything else [Col.1:17]. The reason why I can confidently say that the demons that have been Read the rest of this entry
Except By Me!
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Phil.2:10-11.
Lordship simply means to have authority, control, and power over others, over situations, and over things. So when we say Jesus is Lord, we are saying Jesus has authority, control, and power. I understand that some people are at the borderline and struggling with their faith, so they wonder if Jesus is really Lord? We put up this post, “Jesus IS Lord” on one of our social media Read the rest of this entry
Always Fair
“He answered one of them, ‘Friend, I haven’t been unfair! Didn’t you agree to work all day for the usual wage?” Matt.20:13.
Jesus told this story [Matt.20:1-15] to depict Himself and His Kingdom. The story starts: Read the rest of this entry
Ask For Mercy
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks the door will be opened” Matt.7:7-8
The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He always responds to the humble’s cry for help. There is something about crying out to Jesus that unlocks the mercy of God. And you can check from scripture; everyone that cried out to Jesus, Jesus came to their aid. Everyone! Bartimaeus was blind, he shouted Jesus, thou Son of David, have Read the rest of this entry
Plans Of Good And Not Evil
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” John 10:10
I do not know what you have done but I have been sent to tell you that Jesus is merciful. Jesus is merciful. He is full of mercy and His mercy knows no bounds. Please read Matthew 20:1-15. Over the next few days, we will be learning about God’s boundless mercy from these scriptures. It is my prayer that as you faithfully read it, Read the rest of this entry
