His Sheep

Isa.30: 21 Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

 

Ps. 23:2He makes me lie down in green pastures…” Making the sheep lie down is compelling the sheep to lie down in green pastures.

The Gifts I

Matt.2: 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”

 

The wise men brought the gifts of Frankincense, Gold and Myrrh to Jesus. It is so important that we understand how this applies to us.

The People III

#4. The Wise men. It is interesting that God is not a respecter of people, or race, or color, or tribe. These wise men came all the way from the east and they worshipped Jesus.

The People II

Matt.2: 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

 

#2. The Scholars. They are religious people and they know the Bible. In fact, when Herod called the scribe to inquire about where the Christ will be born, he did not even need to look at the Bible.

Dwelling Place

Ps.84: 1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 2 I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.”

 

Guidance from the Word will take you to the town. Matt.2:6 But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”

Good News!

Isa.9:6 (KJV) “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

 

Christmas is very unique for several reasons and I will explain why. The Christmas season is very unique because it is the season we have chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Irrational Compassion

Luke 10:34 “…Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’”

 

To be able to show compassion, you have to see people how God sees them. God does so much for us but do we always do the right thing at the right time?

Compassion Channel

Luke 10: 34 Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.”

 

The Samaritan “felt compassion” for the wounded man. Some equate compassion with wishy-washy sentiments and weakness,
