Practical Rest
Heb.4:9 “So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. 10 For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labours, just as God did after creating the world.”
The question on our minds is how practical is it to rest in today’s world where everything seems to be happening at jet speed. Relax!
Psa.116:7 (VOICE) “O my soul! Return and relax. Come to your true rest, for the Eternal has showered you with His favor.”
I can confidently tell you that God loves me. God does not love me because I preach a good sermon or because someone gives his or her life to Jesus. Yes, He is happy but that is not the reason why He loves me. I know this truth like I know my name –it is engraved into every fibre of my being. So, I do not have or feel any pressure! Rejoice Still
Psa. 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it”.
At the beginning of the year 2016, God gave us a Word – Rejoice. You and I must never forget this instruction because the Word of God is cumulative and we are on a journey with God. From establishment, to bloom, to victory and then rejoice; the beauty of it all is that God is still speaking and His Words will accomplish His desire in our lives, in Jesus Name. And because we are still in the season of rejoicing and rejoicing will never cease from our homes, we must understand a few things.

Ps.18:1 “I love you, Lord; you are my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety” [with emphasis]
Are you looking to man to be the light that brightens and brings illumination to the dark places in your life? Are you depending on a human being for protection or for energizing? Listen, you are setting yourself up for trouble. Even if the person is your spouse or your parent, you are still setting yourself up for trouble. Stress is a combination of different emotions; worry, guilt, fear, bitterness, anger, tension, or anxiety, strictly based on the way we think. Yet God’s Word says we should keep a clear mind how often? When the country is epidemic free? When your workload is reduced? When the economy has stabilized to one naira to one dollar? Connected To Source

The Word of God clearly points out that God is our source. So if God cannot be stressed you should not be stressed. If God cannot be harassed, I need you to get this so I am going to repeat it.
