Planted?

Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel (seed) of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives” [with emphasis].

Every thing you see today is as a result of the seed somebody gave. However, it is possible to leave that seed on the table. But guess what? In five years, it will still be just a seed. The reason is because the table is not the Right Soil for the seed. If you put that seed in your wardrobe among your clothes, nothing will happen no matter how much time passes. Meanwhile, that same seed could have produced forest upon forest. Read the rest of this entry

Precious Seed II

2 Cor. 9:10 “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” [NKJV]

Gal.6:7-8 “Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God! harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.” May you not harvest a crop of weeds! Some people are selfish to themselves, not to even talk of their spouses. If you want to know a selfish man, ask his wife.

Precious Seed I

Gen.8:22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest …will never cease.”

God says, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest …will never cease”. This is not a theory that will expire. This is the Old Testament versus New Testament. I know that sometimes it can be painful to sow because some seeds are precious seeds. God acknowledges that some seeds are precious but this is what He promises concerning such seeds; Ps.126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” [KJV, with emphasis]. Perspective

Gen.26:1 “And there was a famine in the land… 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him” [KJV]

Eccl.11:1Don’t be afraid to release your bread upon the waters, for in due time you will find it…Those who watch and wait for favorable winds never plant, and those who watch and fret over every cloud never harvest” [Voice]. Do not wait until the conditions are perfect; that is what God says in His Word. Start from where you are. When there is famine, the rational thing to do is to hoard resources, ration things and set up structural adjustment programs. But the Bible says in that same year Isaac sowed, I mean that is huge! If Isaac observed the wind and watched every cloud, he would not have sown. Read the rest of this entry

Need vs. Seed

Mark 4:24 “Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more”

This ordinance of “Right seed, Right soil and Right condition” is key to the Kingdom. And if can you understand it, if you get it, you will stop struggling. Things will not just be by accident in your life because you will know what to do and how to make things happen. This formula is applicable to whatever area you are looking to God for abundant harvest. In spiritual growth, in finances, in matrimonial harmony, in career, in your business, and even in the supernatural; it is the same formula – right seed + right soil + right condition = Abundant harvest.   Read the rest of this entry

Cause & Effect

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine” Pr.3:9-10 [NIV]

John D Rockefeller, in his biography stated that, one of the secrets of his wealth is his “ten-ten-eighty” rule. And he explained the rule to be, he tithes the first ten percent of all his income. He pays himself with the second ten percent, then budgets the last eighty percent. Someone asked me to explain why the tithe is ten percent. And I said, I do not know why it is ten percent but I know that nine percent or five percent is not tithe.

Seed Principle

Money that comes easily disappears quickly, but money that is gathered little by little will grow.” Pr. 13:11 [NCV, emphasis added].

If you do not have savings, you cannot invest and you will  not be able to take opportunities when they come. If you do not have a savings even God cannot use you financially because you do not have leverage. God cannot demand a seed from you because you have eaten everything. God asked the children of Israel to give part of the gold they had collected from Egypt to build the temple. The people that had given theirs to the building of the golden calf had nothing to give. Put Aside

The wise man saves for the future…” Pr. 21:20 [LB]

The third habit for financial freedom is Save For The Future. It is called the Principle of Investment. I am using the word ‘save’ loosely here. I know financial gurus say you cannot save money because the inflation rate is higher than the interest rate. I understand that but you must at least accumulate some money before you can invest it. I know of people that actually buy land with their money without going to the bank. And they are able to achieve this because they have Read the rest of this entry

Seed Maneuvers

…these Levites—the ones who collect the tithe—paid a tithe to Melchizedek when their ancestor Abraham paid a tithe to him. For although Levi wasn’t born yet, the seed from which he came was in Abraham’s body when Melchizedek collected the tithe from him” Heb.7:9-10

There are seeds you will sow that will shape not only your life but also the lives of your children. There are some covenant maneuvers in the spirit that speaks for generations to come. It seems as though certain people are just prospering at everything they do. What you do not know is that their parents have “hit the ground” on their behalf. A lot of people are upset with me and some even accuse me of not knowing how to pray. My response is, I may not know how to pray but my grandmother prayed for me, and my mother is praying for me. Perhaps because I was a Read the rest of this entry

Instructive Armor I

‘Then Saul gave David his own armor –  a bronze helmet and a coat of mail. David put it on, strapped on the sword over it, took one step or two to see what it was like, for he had never worn such things before. “I can’t go in these,” he protested…’ 1 Sam.17:36-37

When you look at Goliath’s armor [1Sam.17:5-7], Saul’s armor [1Sa.17:38-39], and David’s armor [1Sam.17:40], it is very instructive to us. The value to us is you cannot go against the enemy and defeat the enemy with a weapon that the enemy knows how to use better than you. You cannot use the same tools that the enemy has mastered to defeat the enemy. You simply cannot! I was listening to Dr. Okey Onuzo’s teaching in God’s Favourite House during the Read the rest of this entry
