Unity Of Command

A kingdom divided against itself will collapse. A home filled with strife and division destroys itselfMk.3:24-25 [LB].

The Principle of Unity of Command states that for every objective, ensure unity of effort under one responsible commander. Hence, the key to unity of command is one person in charge. There was this series of wars between Rome and Carthage called the Punic wars. In the second Punic war, the Carthaginians invaded Rome. At this time, Rome operated a senate system but it became clear to Read the rest of this entry

One Person In-charge

“But the Lord came down to look at the city and the tower the people were building. “Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Gen. 11:5-6

We are still learning about the principles of war because God has said we will have victory and so we need to be prepared for battle. All the principles are key to victory and they all work together. The Principle of Unity of Command however is a very crucial principle for victory. “Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Gen. 11:6 [emphasis added]. Read the rest of this entry

The Way

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” Jn.14:6

If God has called you to do something and you do not do it, God will do everything possible to bring you to your knees. Ask Jonah. I can tell you stories, even my own stories but I have chosen to go the easy way. As long as God sends me, I will do it. Why? It is because God does not change His mind. He is not making things up as we go. He has already said this is what you will do and that is what you will do. You are most secured in the center of God’s will for your life. You do not choose many things when it comes to God. Thinking you have choices is in itself a waste of time. Read the rest of this entry

No Options

As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband” Eph.5:31 & 33

The most secure places in God do not provide us with options. Marriage for instance, is one of most secured places. But God has not provided us with options in the marriage. Once you are married, you are married. No ‘plan B’. One man says, “what if my wife cannot do xyz, I need to have options”. There are no options because you are in one of the most secured places in God. And the most secured places in God do not provide us with options.

Know Your Options

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” Jn.14:6

To have proper security, the second of four things you must do is ward off enemy invasion. The third thing is, deny information to the enemy. Make sure there is no information leakage of your life that seeps to the enemy. If any information seeps from your life to the enemy, make sure it is false information. Am I encouraging you to lie? Not at all; you are in a war situation so deny the enemy information.

On Guard

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother” Prov.18:24

To have proper security, the first of four things you must do is preventing surprises from your internal forces, the people around you. There are four types of people around you.

Security

“For the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap” Prov.3:26

The need for security is one of the deepest needs we have. And once it is threatened, our security need preoccupies us completely almost grinding to a halt other areas of our lives. Imagine how confident the step of someone that has been promoted at work three times in past one year would be. Imagine how much spring he would have in his steps. Then he bounces to work one day and a little bird tells him that the company is downsizing and would be letting fifty percent of its current staff go. What do you think will happen to him and the spring in his step? He will immediately Read the rest of this entry

Keep Standing!

“I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely” Ps.63:8

Horatio G. Spafford was a prominent American lawyer. Not only was he tithing faithfully, he was supporting D. L. Moody’s ministry, building orphanages, and doing so many good things. But the Great Fire of Chicago cancelled most of his wealth because he was also into real estate. Two years later, he decided that his family should go on a vacation. And as his wife and their four daughters were on their way to Europe on a ship, the ship capsized leaving the wife as the sole survivor. And she sent a telegram to Spafford with the words, “Saved alone. All is lost. What shall Read the rest of this entry

Plan For It III

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.3 John 1:2 [KJV, emphasis added]

God wants you to prosper; He is clear in His Word so settle it in your heart. The question is what can possibly go wrong in your finances, for instance? The worst possible thing that could happen is getting to zero [bankruptcy]. You need to think about it. Then answer this question, what can be done to make sure it never happens? I have thought about it and I have put things in place to ensure I never borrow again in my life.

Plan For It II

“Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit” 3 John 1:2.

Today’s scripture reference highlights three key areas God wants us to do well in. God wants you and I to prosper and we must embrace this truth. Secondly, God wants us to be in health, embrace it. And thirdly, God wants us to be spiritually sound and spiritually strong, embrace it. However, in these three areas, you must ask the three key security questions which many people shy away from. But our goal is to exit our devotion time each day stronger than we came in. I can assure you that the three key security questions will make you uncomfortable. But as you go Read the rest of this entry
