Ps.23:1 (NKJV) “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 5 …You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over” [with emphasis]

Sheep 101
Jn.10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.” [with emphasis]

His Responsibility

All-in-All
Ex.3:2 (NKJV) “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
Fire usually needs wood to keep burning, but when God appeared in the burning bush, the bush did not burn up. God was making a statement that He does not need anything outside Himself to exist. Read the rest of this entry

True Freedom
Eze.34:14 (GNT) “I will let them graze in safety in the mountain meadows and the valleys and in all the green pastures of the land of Israel. 15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will find them a place to rest. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken.
What we discover as we walk with God in freedom is that God is more than enough. God is not just enough, or to get us by, God is more than enough. Psalm 23 is a Psalm that most of us can recite by heart. Read the rest of this entry
