“…it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out” 1 Cor.13:5-6

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud” 1 Cor.13:4
#2. Love is kind. Love is kind hearted. Love is not mean. God wants you to be kind to everyone around you – your family, your friends, your neighbors, and even to strangers. Interestingly, only the first two things on the list [1 Cor.13:1-13] define love. The remaining eight things God listed show us what love is not.

What Is Love?
“If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing” I Cor.13:2
The vertical side of love is how God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so everyone that believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life [John 3:16]. It is love that God will call us His own and make us His own children. It is love that we have access to the Father.

For Love
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16
The most popular scripture in the Bible is, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16 [emphasis added]. “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” John 4:23 [emphasis added]
Worship actually starts with what you cannot bring to God. Our hearts are ushered into true worship with the honest confession that we are empty. We cannot begin to enter and access true worship if we do not get to that honest confession that we are actually empty and there is nothing we can really bring to God.
