Again And Again!

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind; is there anything too hard for Me?” Jer. 32:27 [NIV].

You and I need to put this Scripture before us deliberately because we are not immune to the curved balls that life will throw at us. Note that I did not say life ‘may’ throw us. But you and I need to know how to get hold of our thoughts and refocus them. There was a period in my life where I had this excruciating pain in my stomach. The genesis of it is that it was self-impaired. But I took this Scripture and sat before God praying in tongues. I prayed and cried and prayed Read the rest of this entry

Focus On God!

“God, because of Your great love, answer me.  You are truly able to save.  Pull me from the mud, and do not let me sink…  Do not let the flood drown me…”  Psalm 69:13-15 [NCV, emphasis added]

Problems attempt to press us into defeat but when your situation looks DEFEATING, think about The Greatness of God. When your situation looks defeating, do not throw your hands in the air and give up. Instead, engage your mind and adjust your focus to God’s greatness. We need to stop focusing on the things that drain life out of us, and start focusing on our God that infuses us with life.

Adjust Your Lens

How great God is!  His power is absolute!  His understanding is unlimited.”  Psalm 147:5 [LB, emphasis added]

As much as God loved David, he was not shielded from the troubles of life. He still had to fight battles. David still had to overcome his enemies, people that hated him and people that wanted him dead. As much as God loved David, David still had questions that he needed God to answer. One thing you will see consistently in the Book of Psalms is, David knew how to think clearly through tough times and at the end, his joy was  restored. We are going to learn from David Read the rest of this entry

Of Christ

“For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ 1Cor.2:16 [emphasis added]

Your mind is an amazing creation of God. It handles billions of bits of information. It can process eight hundred memories per second for years and never get tired. No computer will ever compare with the computing power of the brain. And the Bible says as a man thinks in his heart so is he. You are what you think. More than anything else what determines your life are your thoughts; not your background, not your genes, and not your Read the rest of this entry

The Path II

You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.Ps.66:12 [NIV, emphasis added].

Many people are jeopardizing their hard place by taking shortcuts. The shortcuts are the reason why they do not arrive in the wealthy place. The reason why it appears as if there is no wealthy place is because people insist on taking shortcuts. There is no shortcut! You need to go through the grind. Be prepared because when you are going through the grind, it will be very uncomfortable and sometimes humiliating. If I were to show Read the rest of this entry

Phases

Now to the God who can do so many awe-inspiring things, immeasurable things, things greater than we ever could ask or imagine through the power at work in usEph.3:20 [Voice, emphasis added]

Intention is key in any relationship. It is more important to know the intention of a gift than to receive the gift. Which is why I often say to ladies, what are the intentions of the gentleman that keeps buying you gifts? There is no such thing as he is just kind hearted; find out his intentions. Am I saying a man cannot just have good intentions? There is no free lunch in Freetown, they say. Am I saying people cannot give you gifts out of a good heart? My question is, can a man Read the rest of this entry

Be Observant

“Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts?” Matt.9:4

And many times when you let yourself into what God is thinking about your life and about your business, inevitably people can think something is wrong with you. I was listening to a podcast sometime ago and the host was saying that “If everyone thinks you’re strange, take heart. It may just mean you’re years ahead of your time” –Spartan Podcast. And there are many people reading this, people think you are strange but do not worry.

Overflow III

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truthEx.34:6 [emphasis added].

God wants you to know that His goodness is without limits [inexhaustible]. Our challenge as human beings is that we get satisfied too easily. You prayed and God answered by doing beyond what you could ever think or imagine. What happens is that a lot of people just relax and become complacent. We do not seek after God any more or hunger for more. And that is a problem because God still has a lot more for us and we have to press into it.

Overflow I

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]” John 10:10 [AMP]

God wants to bring you to abundance. A lot of people are just content with having life but Jesus is saying to us today, I have come to give you abundant life. We have moved from death to life. Now God is saying you need to move from life to life abundant.

We explained that moving from death to life means moving from physical death to physical life. But going from physical Read the rest of this entry

Much More

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or thinkEph.3:20 [emphasis added].

David says in Psalm 23, “Thou anoints my head with oil, my cup runs over”. David had a cup [capacity], God was pouring oil on David’s head, the cup was full but God did not stop. Why? God did not stop because He was showing David that David’s capacity does not determine His anointing. Your capacity does not determine God’s anointing. God’s anointing is much more than our capacity. In that singular act, God was saying to David that there is so much more Read the rest of this entry
