Sure-Footed

Heb.10:35 “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” (NIV, with emphasis)

We will start our time in God’s Presence today with a story that someone shared with me. A certain stranger while riding across the country, decided to stop for a drink in a little town. Read the rest of this entry

Destiny Matters II

Acts 17:26 “From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.” [with emphasis].

Rom.14:For we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves.” Our lives are intertwined. There are actually people whose destiny fulfillment is dependent on the choices that you make in life. Read the rest of this entry

Do Likewise

Luke 6: 37 (MSG) “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier.”

Assessment

Matt.16:26 “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”

Please study Matt.19:16-30. As we study this portion of Scripture in detail, I believe that the Holy Spirit will brood over us, and birth vision in our lives and nothing that God has put in our hands will perish, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry

In Gratitude

Matt.5: 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”

Someone sent this email to his pastor: “Dear pastor, I am so tired of going through the motions. I am fed up with business as usual. Nothing really excites me or energizes me anymore.

Heart Of It?

Ex.20:17 “You must not covet your neighbour’s house. You must not covet your neighbour’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbour” [with emphasis]

The tenth commandment opens up our tenth battle, which is our battle with contentment. God says, “You must not covet… anything else that belongs to your neighbour.” Anything else includes your neighbour’s husband and your neighbour’s car, or your neighbour’s kitchen.
