Face It!

Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!” 1Sam.30:8-9

Stop and think about this portion of scripture for a minute. David had access to the oracle but see what he is asking, By God’s grace I am privileged to speak with people going through times and the question most of them ask is, “Lord, why did this happen to me”? Some demand an explanation from me about why God allowed it? Some are eager to know who they offended. Some start to list all the things they have done right [paying tithe, giving] as reasons why misfortune Read the rest of this entry

Go!

“Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously. Matt.10:7&8 [MSG]

God does not only want you to have the Kingdom, God wants you to propagate the Kingdom. Sadly, this is where a lot of Christians miss it. Sometimes, it is also the fault of the Pastors because they do not preach it. So a lot of Christians think that the Kingdom of God is about them. All they are thinking about is how God will sort them out. God says, that is the least of the problem. The question is, what will you do when you are anointed? When you are Read the rest of this entry

All-Powerful

“Then Elisha went to the spring of the waters and cast the salt in it and said, Thus says the Lord: I [not the salt] have healed these waters; there shall not be any more death, miscarriage or barrenness [and bereavement] because of it” 2 Kings 2:21 [AMP]

Thus says the Lord” is the weightiest statement in heaven and on earth and it overrides every expert report regardless of the field. I know of ladies that doctors and specialists had told it was medically impossible for them to have children given their conditions. In fact one of such ladies in particular used to bleed for twenty-eight days out of her thirty days Read the rest of this entry

Hand in Hand

“Elisha told him, “Put your hand on the bow,” and Elisha laid his own hands on the king’s hands. Then he commanded, “Open that eastern window,” and he opened it. Then he said, “Shoot! …for you will completely conquer…” 2kings 13:16-17 [emphasis added]

In this season, you will get help from above in Jesus Name. So do not take a single portion vessel to receive a double portion anointing. Ensure that your hunger, your thirst, your vessel is bigger than the anointing [so to speak]. The anointing will always expand to fill and over flow the vessel that you bring. So do not bring a small cup when the anointing by itself is Read the rest of this entry

What Will It Be?

When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. “My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried2kings 13:14.

The pain of every leader is to look back and not find anyone following. The pain of every leader is to look back and not find anyone willing to pay the price necessary for leadership. This was a pain that Elisha was familiar with. He looked back at his life and the only son of the prophet that came close was Gehazi. Gehazi had the opportunity to collect a double Read the rest of this entry

Strike!

“But the man of God was angry with him. “You should have struck the ground five or six times!” he exclaimed. “Then you would have beaten Syria until it was entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times.” 2 kings 13:19

“Then he said, “Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground.” So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times” 2 kings 13:18. This was the mistake the king made. God told him to start but he decided on his own when to stop. If God told you to start, let God tell you when to stop! If God tells you to strike, strike and keep striking! But Read the rest of this entry

Lazy?

“Then he said, “Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground.” So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times” 2Kings 13:18

So in 2Kings 13:17 we know that God had promised, “…for you will completely conquer the Syrians at Aphek” [emphasis added]. And then in 2Kings 13:19you would have beaten Syria until it was entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times” [emphasis added]. The question is, “what happened?” How did things turn around so quickly Read the rest of this entry

Your Part

“But the man of God was angry with him. “You should have struck the ground five or six times!” he exclaimed. “Then you would have beaten Syria until it was entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times.” Then Elisha died and was buried” 2 Kings 13:19-20

The second thing that bothered me when I read the story in 2Kings 13:14-20 is our scripture reference for today. Scripture says, “Then Elisha died and was buried” 2 Kings 13:20. Meaning the king did not have an opportunity to appeal. The king did not get the chance to say I did not understand what you were saying, give me a second chance. After all Prophet Read the rest of this entry
