Time, Talent & Treasure
Matt. 2:11-12 “They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (emphasis added).
God wants us to be positioned in such a way that we can say like the wise men, we are seeking Jesus. What happens when you give God your time, your talent, and your treasure? He multiplies it, that is what He does. Let me share a personal testimony with you. Read the rest of this entry
Wise Action
Matt. 2:1-2 “Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”
The wise men came from Babylon. Historically, it is said that it took them at least two years to go from where they were to where Jesus was. Two years of seeking Jesus – wow! When the star stops, they stop. When the star moved, they moved. Read the rest of this entry
The Expedition
Ps. 63:1 “O True God, You are my God, the One whom I trust. I seek You with every fiber of my being. In this dry and weary land with no water in sight, my soul is dry and longs for You. My body aches for You, for Your presence.” (Voice).
To position himself for God’s blessings, Joseph cooperated. Are you cooperating with God’s Word and with God’s plans for your life? Are you cooperating with God? To position themselves for God’s blessings, the shepherd celebrated. Read the rest of this entry
Trust
Jer. 29:11 “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” (MSG).
Joseph cooperated, the shepherd’s celebrated, Mary contemplated, and the three wise men dedicated. To get positioned for blessings this Christmas, we must learn from these four categories of people that were rightly positioned at the first Christmas and were blessed. Read the rest of this entry
Take Position
Jer. 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
The first Christmas was when Jesus was born physically on earth. Now, if you examine the first Christmas, you will realize that it is not like Christmas today, in the sense that not many people knew about it. Male & Female
John 20:16,20,27 “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” … As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side… Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side… Believe!”
Jesus used voice recognition with Mary but showed His scars to the disciples and Thomas. Why? Did you do your homework? The Prophecies
John 18:14 “Caiaphas was the one who had told the other Jewish leaders, “It’s better that one man should die for the people.”
Caiaphas, being the high priest, said that not knowing that he was prophesying that Jesus was going to take the place of you and me. He was prophesying that Jesus was going to take the place of the people and that is a huge substitutional sacrifice. Read the rest of this entry
His Might!
John 16:24 “You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”
Today’s anchor scripture shows us clearly that the new privilege of asking the Father in the Name of Jesus and receiving answers is tied to our joy. This belief of, if you pray, you do not need to get any answers. just love Jesus, He does not need to answer your prayers. Read the rest of this entry
His Comfort
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (NKJV]
John 16:2 “For you will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God.” So, what is it about being expelled from the synagogue and why does it have such a stronghold on the Jews?
