Confront Lies

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The Way

Heb.12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne” [with emphasis].

Do you want to sit in the place of honour God has for you and your destiny? If your answer is yes, then you must keep your eyes on the joy while you go through the pain. It is not about the pain, it is about the joy. Read the rest of this entry

His Will Not Yours

Matt.26:39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

The Bible tells us again that in Matt.26:42 Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.” 44 So he went to pray a third time, saying the same things again.” After reading this, Read the rest of this entry

Fully Persuaded?

Gen.2: 16 But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— 17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Eve knew God talked about death, but she did not understand the dimension of death that God was talking about. The death God was talking about was separation from God, spiritual death and she eventually died physically. Read the rest of this entry

In The Details

Dan.3:27 “Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!”

The Bible included such detailed description of the men after they emerged from the fire to show us that God is the total deliverer. In Daniel 3:1-7 [please read], Nebuchadnezzar requiring his leadership to bow down Read the rest of this entry

The Stand

Eph.6:10 “…be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might… 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…”

There is so much to learn from the Book and the person of Daniel, particularly in times like this. Things are challenging for the world; however, we are certain that it does not take God by surprise. According to Read the rest of this entry

Heb.11:13  (KJV) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

In your walk with God, you will inevitably get to points where you will need to choose. The Bible talks about it in Heb.11:10 (KJV) For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” The Bible says Read the rest of this entry

Master’s Plan

Mark 14:36 “Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Does life always turn out good for people that remain faithful to God? In this story of Daniel and his friends, it turned out good. Some people would say, what about the disciples of Jesus? Even though they died horrible Read the rest of this entry

Ripening

James 1:2 … when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

The greater your threshold for pain, the greater your capacity for leadership. In positions of leadership, expect people to will say horrible things about you, can you take it? People will stab you in the back and in Read the rest of this entry
