In Faith
Matt.8: 24 “Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” [NIV]
From today’s Scripture reference, we can see that there are two ways to respond to storms. The disciples exemplify the first way, which is to panic. They panicked and all their years of experience faded away. Jesus exemplifies the second way to react to storms, Matt.8:24 “…so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.” Jesus responded in peace. Don’t you just love Jesus?

God Is
Prov. 3:25-26 “Have no fear of sudden disaster . . . for the Lord is your security.”
I pray that if there is still any form of fear in our lives, it will find its way out, in Jesus Name. Something that sometimes tries to cripple us is the fact that we are afraid of crisis that we have not anticipated. Today, God will set us totally free of such fears, in Jesus Name. The fear of accidents, the fear of disasters; people do not want to travel to certain parts of the world because they are afraid of earthquakes. There are all sorts of unexpected incidents these days that can cause us to be afraid.

John 15:12 “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” Sadly, a lot of us really do not understand what this means. There was a huge chasm between God and us. But love made God come down and rescue us. He was insulted, slapped, spat on, abused, ridiculed, and nailed to the cross. But He was not angry or afraid because He was moved by love.

Haggai 2:7 “I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
Today we will kick off with our closing thought from yesterday, which is holding on to what God has placed a demand on renders that thing useless to you. Take the principle of tithing for instance, whoever decides to keep God’s ten percent will not only lose that ten percent, the person will end up losing everything. That is just how it works. Anything you do not honor God with becomes labeled for destruction. That is how it works.
Get To Work!
Isa.40:29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
The world has no sympathy for the weak. The only place where your weakness is valuable is in the Presence of God. That is the only place where, when we are weak, we are made strong. It is in His Presence that we can exchange our weakness for His strength. “Unto him that overcometh”, this phrase is repeated a couple of times in the Book of Revelations. Josh.1:6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous.
The future glory of your life shall be greater than the past. No matter how great or how turbulent your past has been, your future glory shall be greater than your past, in Jesus Name. The future glory of your finances shall be greater than your past. The future glory of your marriage shall be greater than the past. The future glory of your health shall be greater than the past. Truth Speaking
James 2:21 …Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions…22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete…24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. [emphasis added].
God is clear in His Word about faith and actions. Unfortunately, there is this crop of Christians claiming that all you need is faith. They say that once you believe in Jesus, you can do anything you want to do. There is nothing you can do to make God love you less. While that is true, that is only one side of the equation – incomplete. A lot of married people are engaging in extra marital affairs and claiming a new dispensation of grace. I call that reading the Bible upside down.
Action Time!
James 2:19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless [action]? [emphasis added].
Question 4: Am I taking action? The question you need to ask yourself to go forward is, “Am I taking action?” Walt Disney says, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing” –Walt Disney. This sounds simple, right? Unfortunately a lot of people just talk and do nothing. You have been talking about those business ideas forever; when are you going to start? What Counts
Gen.32: 28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”
What has God said to you? When such questions are posed, some people immediately connect and are fired up. But some others feel lost because they are still developing their hearing from God.
