Seed Power, III

Mark 11:25-26 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (NKJV)

Seed Power, II

2 Cor.3:5Not that we are adequate in ourselves so as to consider anything as having come from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.” (NASB, emphasis added).

How do I plant my mustard seed faith? The first is, Listen To God. Listen more and do not assume that you already know what the person wants to say. Spouses do this a lot. It takes a conscious effort to stop assuming and actually listen. Read the rest of this entry

Know This

Psalm 65:2 “because you answer prayers. People everywhere will come to you” (GNT)

It would interest you to know that some people complain about God’s Favourite House and what is their complaint? We pray too much! My response usually is, is it disturbing you or is it incompatible with your spirit? Read the rest of this entry

His Song

Ps. 42:8 “Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love. When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.” (Voice)

So, what kind of song could Paul and Silas have been singing? Perhaps it was, “All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ Name! Let angels, prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all! Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all!” They were in chains and in the dungeon, but they were singing taping their feet and making music with the chains. Idiōtēs

Acts 4:13 “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (NIV, emphasis added)

Worship Happens When…

John 4:22-23 “You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship… But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.”

2 Sam.6:20 “…Michal …said, ‘How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!’ (NIV). 2 Sam.6:21-22 “David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house… I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honour.’” (NIV). This is so huge! I urge you to spend some time just meditating on it. Read the rest of this entry

The Benefits

1 Cor.6:19 “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.”

We will kick-off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is, you do not belong to yourself, and you need to understand that your body does not belong to you. Caring for your body, God’s temple, is a discipleship issue. Read the rest of this entry

Advocate I

John 16:7 “…I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].”  (AMP].

If you had the option of physically having Jesus with you everywhere you go, be your friend, solving your problems, and returning to the sender all the arrows fired at you. Or having the Holy Ghost with you, which will you choose? Most people will want Jesus with them physically. Read the rest of this entry
