Ultimate Substitute

Heb.2:10 “God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.”

So far we have looked at two ways by which point of contact operates and they are; Point Of Contact By Symbols And Tokens and Point Of Contact By Seeds. The third way by which point of contact operates is Point Of Contact By Substitutes. Read the rest of this entry

New Season

Isaiah 11:1 “Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot—yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.”

When you search the Bible for the phrase point of contact, I am not sure you will find it. I have checked the different translations that I could lay my hands on and I did not find it. So why do we do it? It is because everything we do, by God’s grace, is scriptural. Read the rest of this entry

His Song

Ps. 42:8 “Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love. When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.” (Voice)

So, what kind of song could Paul and Silas have been singing? Perhaps it was, “All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ Name! Let angels, prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all! Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all!” They were in chains and in the dungeon, but they were singing taping their feet and making music with the chains.
