Remember

2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!”

When we are in relationships, we tend to place unreasonable demands on the people we do life with asking them not to forget us. The story is told of a couple that was going through financial difficulty during the pandemic. Their jobs were not consistent and the man was really struggling. Read the rest of this entry

Inked

Jeremiah 31:3 “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

We will kick off today’s devotional from where we left off yesterday; which is the fact that creation of the hospital was not done by the state, rather it was done by the Church. It was the Church that created what we now know as the hospital. Read the rest of this entry

A Little History

Luke 4:40 “As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed everyone.”

For the next few days, we are going to be looking at something that is big on God’s heart – Remember. There is so much going on in the world today. The disruption caused by the Covid pandemic is something the world may never recover from. Things are changing so fast now. Read the rest of this entry

Three Things

Proverbs 18:15 “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”

You need three things to get the best out of life. The first is Discernment. When God came to Solomon, discernment was one of the major things Solomon asked for. Read the rest of this entry

Action!

1 Chronicles 28:20 “Then he continued, “Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don’t be frightened by the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you; he will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly.” (LB, emphasis added).

Today’s anchor scripture is David’s advice to his son Solomon, and it is God’s Word to us today. Be strong and courageous and get work, do not be frightened by the size of the task. I have had people say to me that it is as if I am not afraid of anything. Some ask, do you even know what it is to be afraid? Read the rest of this entry

Surely

Habakkuk 2:3 “Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed. (GNT, emphasis added).

Sometimes, God Cracks Open A Door To Give Me A Sneak Peek, A Glimpse Of My Future Long Before I Am Ready To Walk Through It. And this is the sixth thing we need to know about doors. There are doors I have walked into today that I peeked into years and years ago. God showed me. Read the rest of this entry

Know & Understand

1 Kings 3:9&12 “…give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong… I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be” (NIV)

Every time you see a door, you have to make a decision, whether to go through it or not. You have to decide whether to take the handle and open the door or not. There are certain doors that you have walked through, that you should not have walked through. Read the rest of this entry

D. D. D.

Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live. (ERV)

We will pick up today’s devotion from Revelation 3:7-8 I hold the Key of David in my hand. The doors that I unlock and open, no one else can close. And any doors that I shut and lock, no one will ever be able to open. Now I know everything you have done. So look! I am placing before you an open door that no one can shut! I know that you are not very strong, but you’ve kept my word and you’ve been faithful to me.” (CEV, paraphrased with emphasis). Read the rest of this entry

Doors

Revelation 4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”

Doors are a consistent concept in Scripture. In fact, doors are mentioned about four hundred times in the Bible. We have been engaging the concept of doors representing the options of the future that is ahead of us in this decade of destiny, this decade of light. Read the rest of this entry

Focal Point

Psalm 34:19 “People who do what is right may have many problems, BUT the Lord will solve them all.” (NCV).

The fact that you do what is right does not mean you will not have problems. Sometimes, when we have problems, we are perplexed because we do not think we should be having such problems because we are doing our best to do what is right. Read the rest of this entry
