Strong Point
Hab. 3:17-18 “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields… yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!”
Some people think that it is only when good things happen that God is happy with them. That theology is imbalanced. Question, what was the sin of Paul and Silas? They were doing God’s work and they were smack in the middle of God’s will. Read the rest of this entry
By Praise
Psalm 98:4-5 “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song.”
Yesterday, we shared the story of Horatio Spafford who when confronted with the pain of losing his four daughters, did not point his finger at God angrily. He did not question God’s faithfulness saying, ‘Why couldn’t You save them? Read the rest of this entry
His Song
Ps. 42:8 “Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love. When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.” (Voice)
So, what kind of song could Paul and Silas have been singing? Perhaps it was, “All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ Name! Let angels, prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all! Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all!” They were in chains and in the dungeon, but they were singing taping their feet and making music with the chains. At Midnight
Acts 16:23-24 “They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. So, the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.”
Apart from the pain of accusation, Paul and Silas also felt the pain of arrest. The pain of arrest is being confined by a stronger force. You can only be arrested by someone or something that is stronger than you. Read the rest of this entry

Rom.8:33 “Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.”
Nights are tough times and usually night situations are very challenging situations. Acts 16:22-24 “A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. So, the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.” Read the rest of this entry
Trustworthy & True
Psalm 111:7 “All God accomplishes is flawless, faithful, and fair, and his every word proves trustworthy and true.” (TPT)
There are things that God wants to do with you that sound crazy. There are also things that God has told you to do for Him that look crazy to you. Are you going to trust God, take the step and look like an idiot? Read the rest of this entry
Worship Happens When…
John 4:22-23 “You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship… But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.”
2 Sam.6:20 “…Michal …said, ‘How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!’ (NIV). 2 Sam.6:21-22 “David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house… I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honour.’” (NIV). This is so huge! I urge you to spend some time just meditating on it. Read the rest of this entry
Worship Stance, III
2 Sam.6:21 “David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel. I will celebrate before the Lord.” (NIV, emphasis added).
Every time a king is in procession, they usually have someone [a vulgar person] that plays the fool [a buffoon] that goes in front of the king dancing like a mad person, a jester. Read the rest of this entry
Worship Stance, I
2 Sam.6:18-19 “Then he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of heaven and gave a present to everyone—men and women alike—of a loaf of bread, some wine, and a cake of raisins. When it was all over, and everyone had gone home” (TLB)
Today’s anchor scripture is a demonstration of letting your worship flow into your words and deeds. Even though David had sacrificed after every six steps, he went further to sacrifice again when the Ark of God entered Jerusalem. Read the rest of this entry
Get Involved
Gen.18:8 “When the food was ready, Abraham took some yogurt and milk and the roasted meat, and he served it to the men. As they ate, Abraham waited on them in the shade of the trees.”
If it does not cost you anything, it is not going to take you anywhere. True worship happens when we take extreme measures to do things right. No one can be judge over your sacrifice to God because they do not even know where you are coming from. Read the rest of this entry
