His Glory
Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
We have looked at three of the five things that we need to know, three of the five things that will illuminate our lives. Three of the five things that will solidify our lives and will make us unshakable, unmovable. Three of the five things that will make us rooted and planted even as God wants us to be. Right Time
Eccl.3:11 “God gave us the ability to think about his world, but we can never completely understand everything he does. And yet, he does everything at just the right time.” (ERV)
Ps.1:3 “You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time” (The Voice, emphasis added). When we understand that our own fruit will ripen in its time as God’s Word says, then we can pay attention to what matters most. Read the rest of this entry
Go Now!
Matt.28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (AMP)
Imagine you open your room window one morning and everywhere outside is filled with ice. Then you see four people trying to make it up the icy street, crawling on all fours. They are all progressing steadily, and just as they are approaching the top of the street, one of them gets up too soon. Read the rest of this entry
Root vs. Shoot
Luke 19:13 “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (KJV, emphasis added)

Big Picture
John 3:28 “You yourselves know how plainly I told you, ‘I am not the Messiah. I am only here to prepare the way for him.’”
When we do not know who we are, we do not know who we are not supposed to be. So, we try to be who we are not supposed to be because we do not know who we are. But when we know who we are, we will know who we are not. Read the rest of this entry
Knowing
John 3:26 “So John’s disciples came to him and said, “Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.” (emphasis added).
In today’s scripture reference, John the Baptist’s disciples were practically blaming Him for identifying Jesus as the Messiah because now Jesus is also baptizing people, and everybody is going to Him instead of coming to John and his disciples. Read the rest of this entry

Gen.37:10 “This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?”
