Death To Life I

“Son of man, these bones are the entire community of Israel. They keep saying, “Our bones are dry now, picked clean by scavengers. All hope is gone. Our nation is lost.” Eze.37:11 [Voice, emphasis added]

Many times, we find ourselves in situations that can best be described as a dry bone situation. Some of us are far gone in that spectrum as it were. The situation is dry, dead, forgotten, and scattered. On the other side is the situation that is filled with life and abundance. And everyone is somewhere on this spectrum. That situation you are faced Read the rest of this entry

The Way

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” Jn.14:6

If God has called you to do something and you do not do it, God will do everything possible to bring you to your knees. Ask Jonah. I can tell you stories, even my own stories but I have chosen to go the easy way. As long as God sends me, I will do it. Why? It is because God does not change His mind. He is not making things up as we go. He has already said this is what you will do and that is what you will do. You are most secured in the center of God’s will for your life. You do not choose many things when it comes to God. Thinking you have choices is in itself a waste of time. Read the rest of this entry

Believe!

“The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” Luke 24:5

One of the things that Jesus requires from you is for you to believe in Him. When it was time for Jesus to be baptized and John the Baptist saw Him approaching, John stopped what he was doing and said “behold the Lamb of God’. John did not say behold the Lamb of God that came to explain the sins of the world. The foundation of our faith is not in reason. The foundation of our faith is in believing. The foundation of our faith is not in understanding. You need to understand but the foundation of our faith is not in understanding. The foundation of our faith is in Read the rest of this entry

The Power II

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you” Rom.8:11

The Resurrection Power gives you and I power to live. And with the power to live comes the power to love. That power that God has given you is the power to love. “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love Rom.5:5 [emphasis added]. Everyone that has experienced the Resurrection Power has their hearts filled with love, not hate, Read the rest of this entry

Risen!

“The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” Luke 24:5

“Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” This is such an amazing statement. These women meant well; they did not mean to insult Jesus. I have news for you today. Mark today’s date in your diary. There are well meaning people that will come and look for you in the grave but they will discover that the tomb is empty. They will discover that God has resurrected you from the place they kept you. And if God will open their eyes to see, the angels will say to them, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” They are so sure that they Read the rest of this entry

The Reason

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you” Rom.8:11 [emphasis added]

Jesus is coming again! For those of us that have our faith in Jesus, this is what keeps us going. The fact that Jesus is coming again and this physical body will be changed. I do not know about you but I want to be raptured. I want to experience rapture. I want to be alive so that when the trumpet sounds, I will know how it feels to just… That would be awesome! Paul says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable1 Cor.15:19. In Read the rest of this entry

The Intersection

“But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.” Luke 11:20 [emphasis added]

Jesus performed three main types [categories] of miracles. The first category is miracles that affect people. Jesus healed the sick, Jesus cast out demons, and raised the dead. The second category is miracles that control nature. Jesus walked on water, commanded the wind to be still and the storm was stilled. The third category is miracles that controlled material things. Jesus paid His tax with a Read the rest of this entry

Be Aware!

“When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. “My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried” 2Kings13:14

Over the next few days we will be looking at the life of Jehoash [Joash]. Jehoash’s father, during his reign as king, did not serve God and God was angry with him. However, he passed on and Jehoash came into power. You would think that a son would learn from his father’s mistakes but inadvertently most sons just repeat their father’s errors. I am praying that you Read the rest of this entry

Love is … III

“Or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged” 1 Cor.13:5

#5. Love is not rude. Rudeness seems to be increasing with each new generation. But God’s Word is consistent and it says love is not rude.

#6. Love does not insist on its own right. Love is not self-seeking. Relationships that will survive Read the rest of this entry

Selfie!

“Philip said, ‘Lord show us the Father…’ Jesus answered, ‘Don’t you know me, Philip? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” John 14:8-9

The quest for God has been on for a while. “Philip said, ‘Lord show us the Father…’ Jesus answered, ‘Don’t you know me, Philip? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” So if you want to know the Father, look at Jesus. And this is love that God is a Person and not a power. A lot of us can relate to God as a power, some force that can do stuff. God has power but God is a person. And that is so Read the rest of this entry
