Love Work

Eccl. 5:18 “Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun … 19 (LB) “To enjoy your work, and to accept your lot in life — that is indeed a gift from God.” [with emphasis]

Statistically, eighty two percent of Americans say they hate their jobs. The statistics for Nigerians is not available – however, love your job or hate your job, you are going to benefit a lot from our learning in this season because seasons change and understanding is key. Why?

Jn.15:13 “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Knowing “Why” is very important. We must never forget or overlook “why”. Usually the difference between the Christian that will go the distance and the one that will drop off, is one person knows “why” and the other person has forgotten “why”. Read the rest of this entry

Special Ability III

1 Cor.12:10He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern… Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret...”

To have a church, a family and to be a people that have God’s blessing that keeps intensifying in our lives, not only must we pray for power and use everybody’s language, we must Use Everybody’s Talent. Read the rest of this entry

Love Gives

Matt.25: 37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you …drink? 40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’”

You have not begun to worship until the people that have no clue about God look at you and conclude that you are foolish. Worship can be ridiculous. How can wise men bow to a baby?

True North

Job 22:21 [KJV] “Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.”

The next thing that the spiritual leaders did, particularly Ezra, was to teach the people the Word of God. Why teach the Word? Ezra taught the people the Word because he needed to show them who they were. These people did not know the nation of Israel or anything about God. He needed to teach them so that they could see the world and see themselves. As a child of God, there are many things that attempt to influence your identity. Things are constantly trying to make you succumb and tell you who you are. Situations Read the rest of this entry

Stay On Track

Let everyone be sure to do his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work done well, and won’t need to compare himself with someone else” Gal. 6:4 [LB]

The first way to reduce the stress of competition  is to Stop Comparing. Comparing is a foolish thing to do because you are unique. God designed you uniquely. In fact, God designed your genes uniquely. No two human beings have the same genes. You have designer genes. Why is it a bad thing to compare? It is because it causes envy and bitterness. It makes you miserable, do not do it. “Let everyone be sure to do his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work done well, and won’t need to compare himself with someone else” Gal.6:4[LB, emphasis added]. Child Of God!

“And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified GodLu.13:13 [emphasis added]

Today, for the purpose of emphasis, we will start by repeating our final thought from yesterday. “We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and…?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God” Maryanne Williamson. Never apologize for standing tall. Some people are consistently wrestling with the question, who am I to be talented, to be anointed, to be beautiful, to be successful, to be wealthy…? Actually, who are you not to be, that is the Read the rest of this entry

Compassionately So

“Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick” Matt.14:14.

Jesus heals with compassion. Everything Jesus did, He did out of compassion. Jesus did not heal condescendingly; He healed out of compassion. If you want to operate the gift of healing, you must unlock your heart of compassion. You want to lay hands on the sick and they will recover? When someone is in pain, does it break your heart? Does their challenge move you to act on their Read the rest of this entry

Trustworthy Father

‘But even after all he did, you refused to trust the Lord your God, who goes before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day’ Deut.1:32-33.

Does God say no to some of the life defining questions we ask? Yes! However you must make it a habit to ask the Father because He alone knows the end from the beginning. On the subject of marriage, ninety nine percent of the time you should get married. It is only like one percent of the time that God will say no. And for that one percent, marriage is not in God’s plan for their life. So for every one Read the rest of this entry

Waiting Time I

For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done”. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands’ Neh.6:9 [NKJV].

Yesterday we established the fact that waiting time is not wasted time. Today we will delve into the four “P’s” of waiting; these will help you maximize waiting time.

Waiting time is not wasted time, waiting time is Pondering time. It is the time to soak yourself in the vision Read the rest of this entry
