Natural Response

Luke 1:38 “Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.”

Please read Luke 1:26-55. We see from this portion of Scripture that God was looking for someone to use. God is still looking for someone to use. The Bible records that Mary was confused and disturbed. We sometimes react in fear at the thought of God using us. But He is telling us not to be frightened. Do not be afraid of God’s calling on your life. His call is to do you good and to wonderfully bless you. So when you avoid the call, you avoid the wonderful blessings of God.

Your Peace

Ps.91:1Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, 2 can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.” [GNB, with emphasis].

In facing our fears there are some facts that you and I must know. The first fact is that fear occurs when we feel out of control. The second fact is that most of life’s issues are beyond our control. These two facts clearly show that life is filled with fear. The secret to overcoming all fears is not in a formula or in a ten steps list of to-dos.  The key to overcoming all fears is a person and that person is Jesus.

Your Best

Gal.6:4 “Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else” [with emphasis]

1 Cor. 13:8 “Love never fails.” You can either live in love or live in fear, it is your choice. I pray that you will choose love. If you live in love, you fear God. If you do not fear God, then you will fear many things. Fear God or be subject to the fear of everything else. Your choice!

In order to banish the fear of failure, so far we have learnt the five R’s. Remember that everybody fails. Realize that failure is not fatal. Read the rest of this entry

Do Right III

2 Cor. 9:6 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously [NIV, with emphasis].

Only a crazy farmer will buy three hectares of bare land and get angry because there is no crop on the land. A lot of people want to get out of financial challenges but are not willing to sow. Keep praying but prayer alone will not change the situation. This is another truth you need to know and action you need to take. You need to give. When you have a need you sow a seed. Why? There is a seed for every need and the seed will meet the need.

Trust God!

Gen.22:8 “God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son,” Abraham answered…”

The story is told of an old woman carrying a huge basket on her head. A young man driving his truck along the same road saw her and offered her a ride in the back of the truck. As they journeyed along, the man looked in his rear view mirror and saw the old woman still carrying the huge basket on her head. So he stopped and pleaded with her to drop it in the back of the truck. She thanked him for the ride and insisted on carrying the load herself. A lot of us are familiar with this illustration so it makes it easier to explain my next Read the rest of this entry

He Is Able II

1Sam.1:27 “I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request”

Rom.4:17…Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. 18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” [with emphasis]. The Bible says God creates new things out of nothing. Even if the report is that you do not have a womb, God can create a new one. If the experts say the tubes are gone, God can Read the rest of this entry

His Spirit

Zech.4:6 “Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies”.

God wants you to know today that for that level you desire to get to, the speed you are going to have is going to be supernatural. If you believe it then declare it out loud. My promotion shall not be by my power, or my strength, but by God’s Spirit. Ps.75:6 “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Your speed is going to be supernatural.

Go!

Haggai 2:7 I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Today we will kick off with our closing thought from yesterday, which is holding on to what God has placed a demand on renders that thing useless to you. Take the principle of tithing for instance, whoever decides to keep God’s ten percent will not only lose that ten percent, the person will end up losing everything. That is just how it works. Anything you do not honor God with becomes labeled for destruction. That is how it works.

Be Strong!

Josh.1:6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous.

The future glory of your life shall be greater than the past. No matter how great or how turbulent your past has been, your future glory shall be greater than your past, in Jesus Name. The future glory of your destiny shall be greater than that of your past, in Jesus Name. Your best days are still ahead. It is the truth of the Word of God. You Read the rest of this entry

Rejoice!

James 2:26 [AMP] “For just as the [human] body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works [of obedience] is also dead”

1 Sam.1:17 In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.”18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.” The Bible records that Hannah’s countenance changed and this is so instructive. Just like Hannah, you and I must take action; add action to your faith. You have waited, you have fasted, you have worshiped, and you have prayed. You need to add actions to your faith. Her action was she broke Read the rest of this entry
