Know & Go
Acts 8:29 “The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”
I got saved in 1995, and almost immediately I started telling people about Jesus. Then I came across a gathering I can best describe as occultic. So, I would wait outside their meeting place and as they finish and are coming out, I would preach to their children, the ones in college, Read the rest of this entry

John 14:16-17 “The Father will give you another HELPER who will be with you forever! That Helper is the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it doesn’t see or know him. But you know him, because he lives with you and will be in you.” (GW, emphasis added).
The word ‘another’, highlighted in today’s anchor scripture means, another of the same kind, of the same quality. So, we have a life guide in the person of the Holy Spirit. What makes the Holy Spirit incomparable to any city guide is that most city guides were born in the city, Read the rest of this entry

John 16:7 “But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.”
Why would Jesus say it is best for us that He goes away? Is the Holy Spirit better than Jesus? Jesus is the best guide you can ever have; the Apostles had Jesus and when they have any questions, they go to Jesus, and He will explain things to them. Read the rest of this entry
The Right Guide
John 14:16 “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever” (AMP)
Imagine the future presents itself as a series of doors, having the right values will help you choose the right door. However, having the right guide will see you through what is on the other side of the door. The truth is that behind the door is a completely new and different city, Read the rest of this entry
Faith Over Fear
Hebrews 11:27 “By faith, Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw Him who is invisible.” (NIV, emphasis added)
Moses made four life-shaping choices and so far, we have looked at three which are, Refuse To Be Defined By Others, Choose Short-term Pain For Long-term Gain, Choose What God Values, Over What Culture Values. And the fourth life-shaping choice Moses made was he Chose To Live By Faith, Not By Fear! Choose to live by faith and not by fear. Read the rest of this entry
Three P’s
1 John 2:15&17 “Don’t set the affections of your heart… or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible… This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (TPT)
Moses Chose What God Values Over What Culture Values. And yesterday we learnt that when you do the things that the world values, you expire. But when you do the things that God values, you endure. The question is, what does God value? Read the rest of this entry
Audience of One
Hebrews 12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honour beside God’s throne.”
Moses Chose What God Values Over What Culture Values. Moses was driven by his values. I want to challenge you to write down your top three (3) values in life. Pause and think, what are your top three values in life? If you are blank, that is a very bad place to be. Read the rest of this entry
You Decide
Hebrews 11:26 “He valued suffering in the Messiah’s camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff.” (MSG).
You cannot change what happens to you, but you can change what you do with your life. People can hurt you, yes, they can. People can harm you, yes, they can. People can scar you, yes, they can. But no one can ruin you except you, not even satan. Read the rest of this entry
Chapter B
Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
We will pick up today from our final thought of yesterday, which flowed from Hebrews 11:25 “Moses chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.” (NIV, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
Choose Gains
Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9-10 “But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted” Read the rest of this entry
