Wisdom’s Ways
Proverbs 4:11-12 “I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble.”
Having margin creates space for all the great things that God wants to do in our lives. Therefore, we need to work for the best and plan for the worst. In other words, we need to have faith and walk in wisdom. The first two areas where we need to create margin are with our Finances and with our Time. Read the rest of this entry
Tell It!
Luke 2:17-18 “After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished.”
The Bible says, give thanks by telling the world, not by keeping it to yourself. I had a coursemate in university, neat, always tucking in. But in retrospect, I realized that whenever we are abusing lecturers or talking about ‘bad’ things, he would not say anything. Read the rest of this entry
In-Step
1 Samuel 9:24 “…Take a look. This was set aside for you. Eat and enjoy it all because this has been reserved for you until the appointed time… So Saul feasted with Samuel the rest of the day.” (Voice)
Do not rush. If you are an entrepreneur, I am sure you have heard the term first movers advantage. Another research shows that the first movers advantage is a myth. The research states that companies that are improvers, not the originators of the ideas, actually do far better than the Read the rest of this entry
In Christ Alone
1 Jn.1:10 “If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.”
Everyone born of a woman is born a sinner, but when you come to Christ your sin is forgiven. Once and for all God saves you from the penalty of sin. God also saves you from the power of sin; while it is once and for all, it is on the level you are in. Read the rest of this entry
By Yourself, II
Job 22:27-28 “You will pray to Him, and He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.” (AMP).
We will pick up today’s devotion from where we stopped yesterday. To have power with God and man, the first thing is, you have to Learn To Pray By Yourself Without Relying On Someone Else To Pray For You. I shared how while I was waiting to board a flight, I was offered money and a hotel room to stay back and fly the next day because the flight was overbooked. Read the rest of this entry
Imitate
Heb.6:12 “Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.”
God wants us to follow the examples of those that have gone ahead of us. 1 Cor.14:18 “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than any of you.” This may sound like an arrogant statement, right? You know how sometimes you listen to people and you just know the person has not even started? Read the rest of this entry
Voices I
Psalm 27:8 “My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
The ability to hear God’s voice is one thing I am totally grateful for and by God’s grace, it pleases Him to speak to me. However, even when I have heard God, I stay there – waiting and watching – maintaining the posture of hearing from God. Read the rest of this entry
A-C-T-I-O-N!
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (KJV)
The first way by which point of contact operates is Point Of Contact By Symbols And Tokens and the second is Point Of Contact By Seeds. Releasing God’s power by giving your time, your talent, and your treasure. Read the rest of this entry
Unique Light
1 Cor.15:41 “Even among the heavenly bodies, there is a different level of brilliance: the sun shines differently than the moon, the moon differently than the stars, and the stars themselves differ in their brightness.” (Voice).
Do you know that the glory of the moon is a reflection of the glory of the sun? However, the sun cannot do what the moon does. So, to say that the moon is useless is to misunderstand the purpose of creation, of glory, of brightness, and of light. Honestly, parents need to get this. Read the rest of this entry
