Embrace Humility

Philip. 2:7-8 “But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new; a servant in form and a man indeed. The very likeness of humanity, He humbled Himself, obedient to death— a merciless death on the cross!” (Voice)

Adopting Jesus’ model in Philippians 2, we see that firstly, humility flows when we defer to our peers and our subordinates. Secondly, humility flows when give up our privileges. Thirdly, Humility Flows When We Take A Lower Position. Read the rest of this entry

Speak Up!

Matt.7:For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” [emphasis added]

Today’s anchor scripture was a defining scripture for me as a believer. This scripture changed a whole lot of things for me over twenty years ago when I read this scripture, it blew me away. Read the rest of this entry

Know This

Psalm 65:2 “because you answer prayers. People everywhere will come to you” (GNT)

It would interest you to know that some people complain about God’s Favourite House and what is their complaint? We pray too much! My response usually is, is it disturbing you or is it incompatible with your spirit? Read the rest of this entry

On Assignment

Acts 16:27-28The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so he drew his sword to kill himself. But Paul shouted to him, “Stop! Don’t kill yourself! We are all here!

The question that comes to mind after reading today’s anchor scripture is, even though Paul and Silas were free why did they not run? Even though they were free, the chains were broken, and the doors were open, why did they not escape, Read the rest of this entry

Right Turn

Acts 16:25-26 “Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God… Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!”

By the grace of God, we have entered the season of our turning point and God will bring about a turning point for good in every life in the Name of Jesus. From the spiritual standpoint, at every turning point there is the point of praise. Read the rest of this entry

Worship Stance, III

2 Sam.6:21 “David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel. I will celebrate before the Lord.” (NIV, emphasis added).

Centre of Attraction

John 4:23 ““It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.” (MSG, emphasis added)

We must be big on worship as people of God. Worship must be a huge part of your identity as a disciple of Christ Jesus. The truth is that the most important thing that we do is worship. Read the rest of this entry

Be Renewed

1 Cor.9:26-27 “I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping . . .” (MSG)

When it comes to Church, we do a lot of spiritual work and it is great because everything stems from the spiritual. We do a little bit more on the mental side, but we do not do much on the body side. Read the rest of this entry

Heard, Seen, and Touched

1 John 1:1 “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life” (NKJV).

John 21:24This disciple is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his account of these things is accurate.” John finally owned up that the other disciple, the person that wrote this book, and the person that Jesus loved is he, John. Goodness

John 21:3&6Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all nightThen he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some…”

It is important to see Peter’s clout in today’s scripture reference. It is what Peter wants to do that everyone else wants to do. If Peter wants to play football, everyone wants to play. If Peter is playing golf, everybody is playing. If Peter is fishing, everyone is fishing. Read the rest of this entry
