The Press

Rom. 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him . . . according to His purpose” [with emphasis].

Like it or not, failure is beneficial. The second benefit of failure is that it develops our skills. Think about how children learn to walk. When they fall, they may not try it again that same day but the following day they are up again learning to walk. Thomas Edison says, “Just because something doesn’t do what you planned it to do doesn’t mean it’s useless.” Your goal is to make a candle that can stand without support but all your attempts have not fallen through. Package it in a cup and sell that one while you keep attempting.

God Came For Us

“But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people .  The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today” Luke 2:10-11[emphasis added].

Since Christmas is about good news, what then is the good news about Christmas? Is the good news the supernatural birth by a virgin? Or is the good news the fact that there is a lot of feasting in this season? Or is the good news the gifts you have received or are about to receive? What is the good news about Christmas? I will illustrate this with a story. I went to a boarding school in Read the rest of this entry

Budget!

“...Stupid people spend their money as fast as they get itPr. 21:20 [GN]

Every advert is channeled at impulsive buying. Buy now, think later. Do not get me wrong; this is not a campaign against buying things. Everyone has legitimate needs which should be addressed but do not shop impulsively. I sent some phone credit to my wife as a good husband and she loaded it. Then the network multiplied what she loaded by four. And she was excited about the free talk time. I told her the network’s goal was to lure her. She did not agree with Read the rest of this entry

Much More

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or thinkEph.3:20 [emphasis added].

David says in Psalm 23, “Thou anoints my head with oil, my cup runs over”. David had a cup [capacity], God was pouring oil on David’s head, the cup was full but God did not stop. Why? God did not stop because He was showing David that David’s capacity does not determine His anointing. Your capacity does not determine God’s anointing. God’s anointing is much more than our capacity. In that singular act, God was saying to David that there is so much more Read the rest of this entry

Death To Life VIII

“Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’” Eze.37:9

You will move from death to life in Jesus Name. There are two distinct prophecies that God told Ezekiel to do; the first one is to the bones- prophecy to the bones son of man. We have been doing that and we will continue to prophesy to the physical things that they will leave. The second one is prophesy to the winds and cause the winds to come and breathe. Death To Life IV

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them” Ps.126:1-2 [KJV]

Yesterday, we learnt that God sometimes will have to shut one door so that He can open a bigger door. Like the example from yesterday, the man is before me trembling as he reels out all his responsibilities. I had to keep myself from laughing but I prayed and I encouraged him. Guess what? This same man just a few months down the line, is so grateful to God that he lost that job because God has shown him His faithfulness. The challenge with a lot of us is that we are too Read the rest of this entry

Think On These

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” Phil.4:8

Today, we will start off with the story of a man called Tom Monaghan. I pray that the Holy Spirit will open your heart to the importance of speed and give you speed also, in Jesus Name. Tom Monaghan was a pizza delivery boy for an Italian pizza outfit in the U.S. And he observed that whenever he delivered the pizza, his customers were not happy. The customers were always on edge and this Read the rest of this entry

Speed

“So Abraham ran back to the tent and said to Sarah. “Hurry! Get three large measures of your best flour, knead it into dough, and bake some bread” Gen.18:6

There are two factors that produce surprise; the first one is Speed, and the second one is Secrecy. In other words, Speed and Secrecy produce surprise.

#1. Speed. God expects you to move quickly. You have an objective, move quickly. Sun Tzu, the Read the rest of this entry

First Attack

“When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it” Jos.6:20

In 1950 North Korea attacked South Korea by surprise and almost took out the whole nation including the allied forces; the U.S. who was behind them. But the military general of the Americans also launched a counter surprise in the Inch’on landing. And He cut off the supplies of North Korea. North Korea practically starved to death [No water, no food, no medical supplies]; the war came to an Read the rest of this entry

Surprise!

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” Eph.3:20

God can do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. The Biblical definition of surprise is to cause to feel wonder, astonishment, and amazement. In other words, that Scripture is saying God is able to surprise. God is able to surprise you, able to surprise me, and able to surprise our enemies. As the general Read the rest of this entry
