Light

1 Thess. 4:11 (GN) “Make it your aim to live a quiet life, to mind your own business, and earn your own living… In this way, you will win the respect of those who are not believers…”

Over the past few days, God has been answering the question, “Why Work?” In addition to work being God’s idea, work being a tool God uses to supply our needs, and work being a platform that God uses to build character in us, today God is saying to us work because work allows you to be generous. Realignment

Prov.14:23 (GN) “Work and you will earn a living, if you sit around talking you will be poor.”

Work is God’s idea and He wants you to work regardless of how much wealth you have already acquired. There are people that have so much wealth that even if they do not work for the rest of their lives, they will not lack. Read the rest of this entry

The Workings II

Gen.26: 12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great” [KJV]

There is a seed for every need. If you want to be anointed, there is a seed. Pay the price and get anointed; heaven is not a respecter of persons. The problem is a lot of people are not willing to pay the price. While there is a seed for every need, there are also certain seeds that you do not sow. For instance, if you want a good relationship there are certain seeds you do not sow.  Prov.16:28A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends”. What is Important?

1 Cor.3:7 “It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow” [with emphasis]

To know the ways of God you need to know His formula [that is His ordinances and His heart]. “It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow”. And guess what? This God loves you and He wants you to have abundant harvest. But He does not want you to ever forget that He, God is the one that brings the harvest. The Voice Translation of 1 Cor.3:7  reads, “So the ones who water and plant have nothing to brag about. God, who causes the growth, is the only One who matters.”

The Application

2 Kings 3:15 “Now bring me someone who can play the harp.” While the harp was being played, the power of the Lord came upon Elisha, 16 and he said, “This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water!

Elisha had the right seed, the right Word in his heart. He had the right soil but he did not have the right conditions and so he could not prophesy and miracles could not happen. Elisha understood this principle so he requested for a minstrel. Read the rest of this entry

Greater Still

Jn.14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.”

Jesus is saying you will do greater works than Him and it is to the glory of the Father and to the praise and glory of Jesus. Phillip did greater works in Samaria than Jesus. When Jesus went to Samaria, no cripple walked, no lame got up, everybody that had demons still went back with their demons and it was Jesus that was with them. There are labors that you are making now that your children will reap the harvest; so keep your focus. No work for God is ever lost! The work of God is trans-generational.

Rejoicing Follows

Act 8: 7 “Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city”

This year you will have great joy and God will bring great joy to people through you, in Jesus Name. Please read Acts 8:4-8, the Bible says that because of the miracles in the city, there was great joy. Because of the miracles that Jesus will work through you, there will be great joy in your city. That is what God wants for you. God wants to work miracles through you. Do you receive that today?

Rejoice Because… II

Rom.5:11 “So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God” [with emphasis].

You are going to rejoice because the Lord will rescue you, God will bless the works of your hands, God will give you answers for your enemies, your giving will be wholeheartedly, and because God will reign over you. 1 Chr.16:31 “Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Make a list in your prayer journal of all these things that have been spoken into your life so that you can connect with everything that has been spoken over you. It was not just spoken because I had a good idea. I was led to speak. And in your devotion time, bring the list before God with rejoicing and watch what He will do.

Rejoice Because… I

Phil.4:4 “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again–rejoice!” [with emphasis].

You are rejoicing this year and beyond for so many reasons. You are rejoicing because God will rescue you. Ps.13:5 “But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me” [with emphasis]. You are rejoicing because God will bless the work of your hands. Deu.12:7 “There you and your families will feast in the presence of the Lord your God, and you will rejoice in all you have accomplished because the Lord your God has blessed you” [with emphasis].

Inspite Of the Rain

2Kings 3:17 “You will see neither wind nor rain, says the LORD, but this valley will be filled with water. You will have plenty for yourselves and your cattle and other animals” [with emphasis].

It is easy to read this Scripture and not connect with the depth of what God is saying to us. So let me explain in detail. In the Middle East when a drought comes to an end, it is usually with a very violent rain. The rain is so violent and windy that people run for cover. The effect of the rain can even cause erosion, crops will be washed away and there will be a lot of loss. But the Word of God to us is that you will not experience the violence of the rain but you will experience the result of the rain. You will not see the rain. You will not see the wind.
