The Charge

Acts 15:32-33 “Then Judas and Silas, both being prophets, spoke at length to the believers, encouraging and strengthening their faith. They stayed for a while, and then the believers sent them back to the church in Jerusalem with a blessing of peace.”

We will begin today’s devotional by staying with the question from yesterday. People do not get answers because they do not stay with the question for long enough. The question is, who is spiritually better because of you? Read the rest of this entry

The Gifts

Eph.4:11 “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.” (emphasis added)

We explained yesterday that there are two levels of gifts, individual gifts enumerated in 1 Cor. 12, and gifts to the body. However, to operate as an apostle, prophet… Read the rest of this entry

Blessed

Deut.28:3-5 “Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. 6 Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.”

A Christian that is not part of (a member) a local church, is an orphan. You cannot be in Christ and be apart from His body. Can your finger exist outside of your body? Read the rest of this entry

The Promise

Gal.3:17 “This is what I am trying to say: The agreement God made with Abraham could not be cancelled 430 years later when God gave the law to Moses. God would be breaking his promise.”

The Old Covenant that expired at The Cross of Calvary was The Mosaic Covenant, not the Abrahamic Covenant. We need to get this because a lot of well-meaning Christians miss it. Read the rest of this entry

A Body

1 Cor.12:18 “…our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 19 How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20 Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

Members belong together, a Christian without a church family is an orphan. If you go to the market and you see a bodiless head trying to sell something to you, will you buy it? Read the rest of this entry

“We” Power

Gen.11:6 [KJV] “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

We are the church. The church operates on the power of “we”. We need to understand the power of “We”. If you look at the shadow of the New Testament which is the Old Testament, Read the rest of this entry

Limitless

Isa.40:30 “Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

Our God is totally unstoppable and they that wait upon the Lord will become unstoppable [please read Isaiah 40:25-31]. One of the greatest fears that people have is rooted in perseverance. Read the rest of this entry

Big Picture

Isa.43:10 “…There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. 11 I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior… 13 From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” [with emphasis].

Understanding

John 3:“Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.  Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.”

Daniel could do all that he did because he could see things the ordinary person could not see. I pray, in the Name of Jesus, that you will see what you ought to see. So that you will go to sleep inspite of the storm. Read the rest of this entry

Unseen Reality

John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” [NIV]

If your Christianity is all about what you can see, then there is not much to be desired even from the world. The difference between the church and social clubs is the power of the Holy Spirit, it is the supernatural. Read the rest of this entry
