His Path

John 4:1-3 “Jesus knew the Pharisees had heard that he was baptizing and making more disciples than John (though Jesus himself didn’t baptize them—his disciples did). So he left Judea and returned to Galilee.”

Please read John 4:1-42, it is our focus for the next few days and we trust that God’s ancient Word will indeed impact our lives in Jesus Name. John the Beloved pin-points Jesus’ journey to us; He left Galilee and went to Cana and from Cana Jesus went to Judea. Read the rest of this entry

Nothing Except

John 3:27 “John replied, “A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing at all] unless it has been granted to him from heaven [for there is no other source than the sovereign will of God].” (AMP, emphasis added).

A man [born again or not] can receive nothing, except it is given to him from above. Yesterday we looked at the first two implications of this statement. The first implication is, Look To God And God Alone As Your Source. Read the rest of this entry

Supernatural Provision

Matt.17:27 “However, we don’t want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.”

Have you ever experienced supernatural provision? Yes, God wants us to work, to invest, and God wants us to save. We have done several teachings on God’s heart for work and for our finances – earn some, save some, invest some, spend less, no loss, give more, and faith it. Read the rest of this entry

Look & Live!

John 3:13-15 “No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven. And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life”

What was Jesus referring to when He spoke about Moses and the bronze snake? Please read Num. 21:4-9. The background to this is, the people of Israel on their way through the wilderness became impatient and started grumbling. Read the rest of this entry

Born Again?

John 3:3 “Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

John 3:4 What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” In this verse we see Nicodemus’ confusion. Interestingly, the term born again was not new. Read the rest of this entry

Your Witness

Acts 2:36-37 “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

John 3:2 “After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” Who are the “we” that Nicodemus was referring to in this scripture? Read the rest of this entry

Fresh & Sweet

John 2:3-4 “The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” (emphasis added).

The wine supply ran out during the festivities. We see from today’s scripture reference that in this life, the wine or the wine supply can run out. Things cannot always be perfect; sometimes things will not always go as you want it to go. Read the rest of this entry

Impact

Ecc. 3:1 “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.”

Please John 2:1-11 (NRSV] and as you read, you will be blessed because the Word of God is life.  We continue to journey with John and this time he is narrating what happened at the wedding in Cana of Galilee on the third day.

Found To Find

John 4:28-29The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?”

The Psalmist said in Ps.84:10A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

Your House

John 1:38 “Jesus looked around and saw them following. “What do you want?” he asked them. They replied, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), where are you staying?’”

Yesterday, we looked at Jesus’ first words in the Book of John and how we would respond if Jesus asked us that exact question. We are confident that we would receive what we have asked for in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry
