Clay o, Clay!

Zep. 3:16-17 “…Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

We took a break from dealing with the final ‘D’ that attempts to steal our cheer, to receive what God was delivering to us at Christmas, in the final days of 2020 and into the new year. How do I cheer up when change seems distant? Let us start with a quick recap. The first truth is, to cheer up when my change seems distant, I need to Embrace The Big Picture. The Master’s Piece

Eph.2:10 (Voice) “For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago.”

God used one of the most embarrassing moments of my life to reveal Himself to me. So, it is impossible to convince that God is not alive. Even though I still did not get saved until my final year at the university. Read the rest of this entry

Pray & Change

Matt.5:43-44 (ERV)You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly.”

Schedule your leisure, practice encouragement, bask in encouragement and pray for the source of your discouragement. I actually enjoy doing this. As it is popularly said, hurting people hurt people. Read the rest of this entry

Speak Life

Eph.4:29 “…Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”

We are still on the subject of learning to bask in encouragement. Hang on to that encouragement you get. Yesterday, I shared with you how I kept an encouraging note and it became a repeated source of encouragement for me. Read the rest of this entry

Cherish it

Ps.119:102-104 (Voice) “I have not neglected Your lessons, for You, God, have been my teacher. Your words are sweet to my taste! Yes, they are sweeter than honey in my mouth! I gain understanding from Your instructions; that’s why I hate every deceitful path”.

When someone encourages you, receive it with gratitude. You are made for God’s glory; your good works are sweet grapes in God’s mouth. So, when people compliment you, Read the rest of this entry

Open Heart

Liberal Soul

Eph.4:29 (TPT) “…let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.”

Something very interesting happened to me, I checked my bank account and I saw that someone had transferred a large sum of money into my account. It was like I was drinking cold water. Read the rest of this entry

Limit & Schedule

Ps.119:164-165 (TPT) “I stop to praise you seven times a day, all because your ways are perfect! There is such a great peace and well-being that comes to the lovers of your word, and they will never be offended.”

The fourth question that helps us learn from discouragement is, where or what do I need to change? Jesus is our perfect example and yesterday we learnt that Jesus loved everyone, Jesus ministered to everyone, but Jesus limited His exposure. Jesus only hung out with a few people and this can make all the difference. Read the rest of this entry

Show Compassion

James 2:15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “…stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? 17…faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead…”

Sometimes people get too distracted with the inconveniences around them to remember to show compassion.

The Answer!

Matt. 9:29 “According to your faith it will be done to you.”

The sixth R in banishing the fear of failure is to Replace Fear With Faith in Christ. You and I must replace our fears with faith in Christ. Why? “According to your faith it will be done to you.” You can program yourself for faith in God or the fear of failure. It is your choice. Instead of being driven by the fear of failing, you should be driven by the faith to succeed. Instead of being faith-driven success seekers, a lot of people are fear-driven failure avoiders.
