The Resurrection!
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you” Rom.8:11 [emphasis added]
Easter is another name for The Resurrection. I would not argue about the origin of Easter; I will leave that to the critics. Instead, I will focus on Jesus. Rick Warren says, “The three days of the Easter season tells the story of our lives”. And what are the three days of the Easter season? The Good Friday, the Saturday, and the Resurrection morning [Easter]; these three days tell the story of Read the rest of this entry
Audience Of One
“Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread” Isa.8:13 .
The key to being totally free from people pleasing is in understanding that the only person you are capable of totally pleasing is God. You are not capable of pleasing any human being. In fact, you will discover that human beings are “un-pleasable”. Let me illustrate with the story of a popular folk song. It is the story of a father, his son and their donkey on a journey. The father alone was riding on the donkey while his son was walking. The people called him wicked. So the father Read the rest of this entry
Fearless
“Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day” Ps.91:5
Fear is not a respecter of seasons. You may be in the season of day [day here means bloom], and the enemy will still try to fire arrows at you. But God is saying to you today, do not be afraid of the arrows that fly in the day. You may be in your night season [night here means gloom], laden with challenges you need to solve. But that does not stop the enemy from bringing terror to your doorstep. God is saying, “do not be afraid of the terror by night”. Yet people go into seasons afraid Read the rest of this entry
Fear Not!
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” Matt.5:14-15 [emphasis added]
A lamp is placed on a stand; every lamp has a stand. You are the light of the world, so for you to be effective and fulfill your ministry you need to be on your stand. I pray for everyone whose light has been hidden under a basket, your light will be placed on your stand in Jesus Name. I pray for everyone whose light is on a stand but is shaking [it is being
threatened with displacement]. I pray that God will silence every force that is threatening your placement in Jesus Name.
Stand Tall!
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” Matt.5:14-15 [emphasis added]
You are the light of the world! These are the direct words of Jesus. You are the light of the world and you are to Stand Tall. There are a lot of things that attempt to bow us down. Things such as, the shame of a past mistake, our family history, the fear of the unknown, or even the Read the rest of this entry
The Key
“Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?” Lam.3:37 [NKJV]
Why are you afraid? “Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?” So why should you be afraid? So what if a sorcerer cursed you or a witch wants you dead. It does not matter; their counsel will always come to nothing in the Name of Jesus. Why? It is because God has not commanded it! Perhaps you are from one of those Read the rest of this entry
Amazing Ability
“But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water” Matt.14:27-28
Peter and all the other disciples we in the middle of a crisis, yet Peter asked Jesus if he could walk on water. How did Peter even think about that? He saw Jesus walking on water and Peter thought to himself, how would it feel to walk on water? Many of us really need to let our imagination loose. Read the rest of this entry
God Can!
“Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water” Matt.14:24-25
God has done many miracles with water. God has turned water into blood. Jesus turned water into wine. Moses told water to part and the children of Israel walked on dry land. Joshua repeated the same thing with Jordan. Elisha repeated the same thing with Jordan. It is so interesting but we had never seen God or God empowering any man to walk on water. God even fights with water. In Read the rest of this entry
Inspite Of The Pain
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow” James 1:2-3
Honestly, when I am facing challenges except I remember this Scripture I naturally do not count it as joy. I typically would pray, “Lord, what is going on here? Help me”. But Paul is challenging us to our core that you can be in pain and you can be on purpose. You can be waiting for a promise and you can still be fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. For a lot of us, Read the rest of this entry
Connected To Source
“Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground” Gen.1:26
The Word of God clearly points out that God is our source. So if God cannot be stressed you should not be stressed. If God cannot be harassed, I need you to get this so I am going to repeat it. If God cannot be harassed you should not be harassed. Jesus is God, He was on earth but the fact that He is God did not mean Read the rest of this entry
