Light Forward
Psalm 18:28 “For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.” (AMPC)
Galatians 6:9 “May we never tire of doing what is good and right before our Lord because in His season we shall bring in a great harvest if we can just persist.” (Voice). Are you going to persist? What are you going to fight for? Read the rest of this entry
Forced Favour
Isaiah 49:25 “Eternal One: Hard to believe, but it shall be so. The captives will be taken from the hand of the mighty, And the spoil of war will be rescued from the tyrant. I will liberate them from their captors and contend with your enemies. I will save your children. (Voice)
The first dimension of favour that God is giving us in this season is forced favour or what you call favour by force. Some people do not just like your face, but God will compel them to favour you in the Name of Jesus. For some of us, we know that if there were to be an election, no one will vote for us. Trustworthy
John 19:24 “So they said, “Rather than tearing it apart, let’s throw dice for it.” This fulfilled the Scripture that says, “They divided my garments among themselves and threw dice for my clothing.”
John 19:23 “When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his clothes among the four of them. They also took his robe, but it was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.” (emphasis added). Jesus was dressing well, stop dressing shabbily in the Name of Jesus. Stand Tall!
John 18:4 “Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them. “Who are you looking for?” he asked.”
John 18:3 “The leading priests and Pharisees had given Judas a contingent of Roman soldiers and Temple guards to accompany him…” The number of soldiers alone, not to talk of the temple guards, that came to arrest Jesus were at least two hundred. Read the rest of this entry
His Path
John 4:1-3 “Jesus knew the Pharisees had heard that he was baptizing and making more disciples than John (though Jesus himself didn’t baptize them—his disciples did). So he left Judea and returned to Galilee.”
Please read John 4:1-42, it is our focus for the next few days and we trust that God’s ancient Word will indeed impact our lives in Jesus Name. John the Beloved pin-points Jesus’ journey to us; He left Galilee and went to Cana and from Cana Jesus went to Judea. Read the rest of this entry
By The Spirit II
1Cor.12:31 “But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces) …” (AMPC)
Yesterday, we looked at the gifts of the Word of Wisdom and the Word of Knowledge enumerated in 1Cor.12:8. I cannot count the number of times or the number of people that have walked into my office wondering how I knew certain things, secret things. “If not that my wife and I discussed this on our way to church and we came in the same car. Advantage III
John 14:16-18, & 20 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth… No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. …I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
The fifth benefit of the Holy Spirit is, The Holy Spirit Gives Life To Our Physical Body. The Holy Spirit does not just give spiritual life, He makes you strong and powerful in your physical body just like Samson. Judges 15:14 “As Samson arrived at Lehi, the Philistines came shouting in triumph. But the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon Samson, and he snapped the ropes on his arms as if they were burnt strands of flax, and they fell from his wrists.” Read the rest of this entry
Take-Action
Ps.12:6 (TLB & NKJV, emphasis added) “The Lord’s promise is sure. He speaks no careless word; all he says is purest truth… Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
The power of prayer is not in our prayers but in His answering. Some people are so confident in their prayers. Have you heard statements like this, “When I pray…”? Who are you? It is good to pray and if you think you pray well, praise God for you. Read the rest of this entry
The Difference I
Mark 10:47-48 “When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (emphasis added).
God’s heart consists of two attributes – His character (who He is) and His covenant (how He deals). Yesterday, we learnt that when Bartimaeus shouted, he struck Jesus’ heart. Read the rest of this entry
