“About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the Lord says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.” 2 Kings 20:1
Over the next few days we will be learning from the life of Hezekiah. Please read 2kings20:1-6. I pray that everyone that has good news for you but is going in the wrong direction, God will send them back in Jesus Name. In those days, when a prophet comes into a town, people start trembling. Why? It is because they do not know what he is going to say. A prophet, Read the rest of this entry
Heart Affairs IV
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” John 4:23 [emphasis added]
Worship actually starts with what you cannot bring to God. Our hearts are ushered into true worship with the honest confession that we are empty. We cannot begin to enter and access true worship if we do not get to that honest confession that we are actually empty and there is nothing we can really bring to God. Worship does not start with what you can bring, it actually starts with what you cannot Read the rest of this entry
Heart Affairs III
“They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh” Matt.2:11 [emphasis added]
The second striking thing about true worship from the above quoted scripture is that there can be no worship without total humility. They bowed down and worshipped a baby. You cannot come to God in worship and be full of yourself. Do they know who I am? Really, who are you before God? Nothing! And we have the privilege of worshipping the exalted Christ. They were worshipping the Read the rest of this entry
Heart Affairs II
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” John 4:23 [emphasis added]
God is looking for true worshippers! The people that will worship Him in spirit and in truth and I am praying that He finds you, in Jesus Name. True worship is worshipping God in spirit and in truth. Meaning, you do not only say I am loyal to You Jesus when you are in the midst of other believers. But when you get to your own house where no one sees you, you are actually loyal to Jesus. A couple Read the rest of this entry
The Fire
“If it be so, our God who we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O King. But if not, be it knows unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up” Dan.3:17-18 [KJV]
You need to settle it in your heart that you will only bow your knees to God and God alone. So that no matter what you are faced with, because you have resolved in your heart to bow to God alone, that resolve comes through for you. Guess what, it is not when you face that temptation or pressure that the resolve kicks in. It has already shaped decisions you would have made in days past and in Read the rest of this entry
All About Worship II
“Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity (idols and idolatry); and restore me to vigorous life and health in Your ways” Ps.119:37 [AMP]
It all about worship! The devil said to Jesus all you need to do is bow and worship me. Now that may sound innocent. The three Hebrew boys [Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego] were faced with the same temptation. All you need to do is bow to the idol when you hear the sound of the bugle. Just bow, after all if you bow you will save yourself the flaming furnace and when you get home you will Read the rest of this entry
The Link
“When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it” Ecc.5:4-5 [NIV]
I have heard arguments, several arguments relating to Hannah’s prayer. Some people say the Bible says her voice as not heard so Hannah did not verbalize her prayer. And I say read your Bible properly. Eli sat and watched Hannah from a distance and he did not hear her voice. I am not saying he did but his conclusion was that she was drunk. These people that say Hannah did not say a word Read the rest of this entry
Crowned With Goodness
“Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Luke 17:17-18.
God will wrap this year up for you with goodness in Jesus Name. How should you respond to God’s goodness? Start by thanking God and thank Him profusely. After you have given thanks, let this newly established appreciation of God’s goodness draw you closer to God. Then you respond even further by increasing our goodness to Read the rest of this entry
Most Assuredly
“The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!” 1 Sam.17:37
Our forth response to God’s goodness is we face the future with confidence. God is going to round up this year for you with His goodness. That should give you confidence to face the coming year with the utmost confidence. Some people will devote themselves to complaining and nursing fears about the year that is about to Read the rest of this entry
Imitate God
“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” Rom.2:4
Some people feel they need to be controlled and brought under submission. Such people do not respond to kindness, goodness, and to benevolence, they only respond to terror. Before I met my wife, I was dating another lady that I thought I was going to get married to but the relationship went south. And some Pastor’s wife approached me, she was of the impression that I had broken off the relationship. She said she Read the rest of this entry
