Freedom vs. License?
“Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism…” Rom.6:1-2
Grace is freedom from sin, grace is not license to sin! If you do not understand grace, you would think grace is license to sin. You would think it acceptable to sin and you can always come back to the Blood of Jesus for cleansing. You are holy! Say it aloud, I am holy. Some people cannot even say it because they struggle with it. Do not struggle with it. Perhaps you are not yet holy but you will be today, in Jesus Name. Single-mindedness
“Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything” Col.1:18
Christ is the head of the church and we are His body. You cannot tell someone you like his or her head but you do not like the same persons legs. The Church is the Bride of Christ. Similarly, you cannot say I love you but I do not like your wife. In fact, for me, if you do not like my wife you cannot be my friend. I can see that the Scripture points out; we have seen your faith in Christ and your love to God’s people.
