Hallelujah

‘Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory’ 1 Cor.2:8 [KJV]

Hallelujah is embracing limitations in order to be truly free. Hallelujah is looking foolish in order to actually gain wisdom. Hallelujah is the willingness to concede a loss in order to gain the ultimate victory. That was what God did with Calvary. God was willing to give up one so that He might gain many. The

At The Son

But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture’ Mal.4:2

The eagle can gaze directly at the sun in its full strength and not go blind. When the eagle first comes out of its shell at birth two things happen. It’s mouth is open and its eyes are gazing directly at the sun. Based on that, during an attack the eagle is able to fly straight in the direction of the sun because no other Read the rest of this entry

Fresh Word

‘Give us day by day our daily bread’ Luke 11:3 [KJV]

If the only ‘God said’ that you know is ‘my wife said that God said’ or ‘our pastor said that God said’ then there is a problem. When your wife is not around, you will be in serious trouble. Don’t be an Aaron to Moses or like Aaron when Moses is not around you will also be pressured into making a golden calf [Ex. Read the rest of this entry

Daily Bread I

‘Give us day by day our daily bread’ Luke 11:3 [KJV]

The eagle only eats fresh meat. You will never see an eagle eating meat that it did not kill or eating left overs. In addition to that, the eagle does not waste food. It finishes its meals or divides it amongst its children but nothing is left over. The eagle always eats fresh meals; it does not feed on corruption like the vulture. The vulture can spend two weeks following a dying animal around just waiting for it to die so that it can feed. The eagle is not a scavenger; it is a predator. It likes to hunt and kill its own food.

How does that apply to us? God does not want us to feed on corruption. As leaders and eagle Christians we must flee all appearances of evil. The truth is that those who settle for corruption have settled for limitation in life [Psalm 1]. You must flee all appearances of evil. Eagle Christians should not feed on corruption whether it is physical, financial, or moral corruption.

The eagle is not a parasite; you need to stop being a parasite. Everybody goes through challenging times in life, every body that you can see, no matter how rich or how poor. When you are going through your own, make up your mind not to be a parasite [a mosquito] but to remain an eagle. The eagle Christian does not parasite or scavenge on people spiritually. It does not perch financially. The eagle does not say ‘what will you drop for your boy today’. In other words, you cannot continue looking to another person’s wealth [physical or spiritual] for your own well being. An example of spiritual scavenging would be a man who is always saying ‘my wife said God said – that this is the house we should buy or this is the school for our children. What about you? Does God not talk to you? Refuse to be a spiritual parasite even if it means waking up at midnight to pray. Then wake up and pay the price. Like the eagle seek your daily bread by yourself. Jesus will not teach us to ask for daily bread if the Father has not made provision for it.

Thought: ‘…in God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf, always in blossomPs.1:2-3 [MSG]

You Already Have Victory

‘Seek the LORD while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near’ Isa.55:6

‘I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow’ 1 Cor.3:6. The way God has it fashioned out is that preaching of the Good News is reserved for you and I. Whether the person accepts or not, is not our responsibility. The fact is that once Jesus is preached, you already have the victory. For some of us, our duty is to plant the seed in Read the rest of this entry

Taste And See

‘My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me’ Gal.2:20

It is only the person that has tasted an orange that can convince another person about the sweetness of an orange. Similarly, it is only one who has experienced Jesus that can testify convincingly to another person about Jesus. One sure way you can bring the ultimate gift to those close to you but far from God is to tell your own story. No one knows your story better than you. ‘I don’t know Read the rest of this entry

Giving The Ultimate Gift

‘When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them’ Luke 2:17-18 [NIV]

I hope you plan to give gifts this Christmas. Christmas offers an amazing opportunity for everyone to give gifts of love to one another. God gave His Son Jesus and Jesus gave His life. It is because God gave that is why we can even celebrate Christmas today. Now the ball is in our court. What will you give your friends, family, in-laws, neighbors or even your enemies? Antidote

‘At least I can take comfort in this: Despite the pain, I have not denied the words of the Holy One’ Job 6:10.

Before you experience gain, it is inevitable to experience a level of pain. We will go through trials and challenges in life, again, this is also inevitable. However, most times when people are faced with trials or challenges, you find them looking for tranquilizers to knock off or even dampen the pain. Pain is painful, have you noticed; either the pain of rejection, financial Read the rest of this entry

Declare War on Sin

‘Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people;then you won’t become weary and give up’. Heb.12:3

Resisting sin is a daily assignment. Paul gives us a tip that is sure to work every time. Keep the image of Christ and His sacrifice before you constantly and sin will lose its power over you. The image of Jesus on the cross is sure to cure every taste for sin and crush it every time it surfaces [Isa.53:6]. The reason why a lot of us seem to be battling one particular sin over and Read the rest of this entry

Invoking God’s Blessings II

‘Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart’ John 7:38

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothingJohn 15:5. And we know that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. Yet there are Christians today who choose to stay without the Holy Spirit. They do not want to heal the sick or prophesy. They do not thirst for the anointing and Read the rest of this entry
