Ps.31:20 (AMPC) “In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.”
We have experienced true freedom; God has set us free and the shackles are actually broken. However, it is one thing for the shackles to be broken and you are free. Read the rest of this entry
Refining Word
Eccl.10:10 “If the ax is dull, and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success” [with emphasis]
Energy consists of four components –physical energy, mental energy, emotional energy, and spiritual energy. To manage your energy, you must be optimal in your physical energy. In order to achieve this, you need to exercise and be deliberate about watching what you eat. What you eat and how you exercise will determine your physical energy. If you do not Read the rest of this entry
Think About It
Prov.13:4 (LB) “Lazy people want much but get little, while the diligent are prospering.”
If your goal is to win at work then you have to resolve to Never Make Excuses. This is actually the third of the six ways Solomon is teaching us to win. Read the rest of this entry
What Reflection?
James 1:22 “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.”
In line with God’s Word, we will not only look at ourselves in His Word, we will evaluate ourselves and change our ways. So today, we begin by evaluating our integrity. Read the rest of this entry
Sons Not Orphans
Gen.2: 19 “So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one.”
We work because work is God’s idea. People like to paint a picture of paradise as a place where people are just sitting around, eating everything but not working. Remember the Garden of Eden? Read the rest of this entry
Seeds of Greatness
Prov.6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis].
To Step Up Financially, you must Earn Some; Spend Less, and Save More. Clement Stone says, “If you are unable to retain money, the seeds of greatness are not in you.” The first time I came across this quote, it more than shocked me. Read the rest of this entry
A Lesson In Season
Prov.6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis].
To Step Up financially, the third thing you have to do is Save More. In order to create margin, you have to save more. The challenge most of the time is we over estimate what we can achieve on the short term and we really underestimate what we can achieve on the long term. Read the rest of this entry
The Antidote
“Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” Prov.6:6-8
The antidote for poverty is work! “But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber” Prov.6:9-11. Some people love sleep too much. The Bible says if you love sleep you are courting poverty. May you not have scarcity, in Jesus Name. The question God is asking you today is when will Read the rest of this entry
Key Thoughts IV
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him” Heb.11:6.
I know of someone that joined NASA because he wanted to go to space. But NASA was not really taking people to space. So he left NASA and created his own company. Today, he is giving people the space experience. Do not get satisfied too easily. I pray that God will give you a holy dissatisfaction because until you get dissatisfied, you cannot make progress. Until you are Read the rest of this entry
Follow Through II
“Then he said, “Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground.” So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times. But the man of God was angry with him. “You should have struck the ground five or six times…” 2Kings 13:18-19
Yesterday, we talked about the twin battle between the British forces and Turkey. We pointed out how in the first battle, the British backed down too quickly. Take note, they would have subdued Turkey if they had just followed through. In the second battle, the British lost again because they delayed at a point when they should have proceeded to launch Read the rest of this entry
