Roots Then Fruits

Jn.14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

There are two dimensions when it comes to the miraculous. Two dimensions we must be aware of and they are: the miraculous roots and the miraculous fruits. The two are indispensable. However, the miraculous roots must happen for there to be miraculous fruits. The miraculous fruits happen when you are doing the right things, for example – praying and giving. On the surface it will appear as though nothing is happening. But you are performing a miracle; it is called the miraculous roots.

Rejoicing Follows

Act 8: 7 “Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city”

This year you will have great joy and God will bring great joy to people through you, in Jesus Name. Please read Acts 8:4-8, the Bible says that because of the miracles in the city, there was great joy. Because of the miracles that Jesus will work through you, there will be great joy in your city. That is what God wants for you. God wants to work miracles through you. Do you receive that today?

Just Because

Luke 10:20 “But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven” [with emphasis].

Is your name registered in heaven? Jesus says that the most important thing is that your name and my name are registered in heaven. I like the word registered and it suggests that there is a registration process. You just do not show up in Heaven just like that. Your name has to be registered in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Your name has to be registered in heaven.

Key

Luke 1: 46 “…Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me”

Do not live an ordinary life and do not be afraid of God using you. A lot of you reading this today are really powerful but you cannot continue to do nothing. I pray that you will change today, in Jesus Name. You need to stretch yourself even in your giving. You cannot continue to give only what you are comfortable with; stretch yourself! If you only give what is comfortable then how can you see the miraculous? I always stretch my giving. There were seasons in my life that my wife thought I was crazy but now we are on the same page in giving. As a church, we always stretch our giving.

Be Open!

So Elijah… camped beside Kerith Brook… ravens brought him bread and meat… morning and evening… But after a while the brook dried up… Then the Lord said… “Go and live in the village of Zarephath… I have instructed a widow there to feed you.” 1 Kings 17:5-9

The story is told of a daughter who rearranged the living room to suit her father. But when he saw the new arrangement, he was very upset and shouted at everybody. Why? He wanted everything to be the way he left it. After he had become calm, his wife asked him, have you even seen what your daughter did? But he flared up again; I want my chair where I left my chair! Does that sound familiar?

The Intersection

“But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.” Luke 11:20 [emphasis added]

Jesus performed three main types [categories] of miracles. The first category is miracles that affect people. Jesus healed the sick, Jesus cast out demons, and raised the dead. The second category is miracles that control nature. Jesus walked on water, commanded the wind to be still and the storm was stilled. The third category is miracles that controlled material things. Jesus paid His tax with a Read the rest of this entry

True Miracle

“Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” Matt.10:7-8 [emphasis added]

A miracle is something that would never have happened if God had not intervened. A miracle reverses or suspends the natural flow of things. Systems are governed by laws such as the law of surface tension that permits a mosquito to stand on water but not a human being. But Jesus suspended that law when He walked on water Read the rest of this entry

Alive!

Then he got in the boat, his disciples with him. The next thing they knew, they were in a severe storm. Waves were crashing into the boat—and he was sound asleep! They roused him, pleading, “Master, save us! We’re going down!” Matt.8:23-23 [MSG]

Please read Matthew 8:23-27. Sometimes, you are just minding your business, going about life as you have planned and then suddenly, a terrible storm rises in your life. And you wonder where it came from? I have good news for you, because you have come into the Presence of the Lord, the storm will be still. Jesus rebuked the wind and the wind obeyed Him. Interestingly, Jesus is still alive and well. He is Read the rest of this entry

Submission

Then He  spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyesJohn 9:6

The story in John 9:1-41 is a perfect reference for how to engage the Person of Jesus and deploy the principles of Jesus. From this story, the person of Jesus was engaged and the principles of Jesus were deployed for the miracle to occur and for the glory of God to be revealed. Two principles of Jesus particularly were deployed in the story, before we saw the miracle happen and the glory of God Read the rest of this entry

Guaranteed Help!

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” Isa.53:5 [KJV].

Isaiah talked about it in the future tense “…with His stripes we are healed” but Peter talks about it in the past tense, “…by His stripes we were healed”. This tells us that we really do not have to wait. If people like Isaiah, Elijah, and Elisha could look into the future and see Jesus, then we really do not have to wait. A lot of us are carrying things we do not have to Read the rest of this entry
