Duologue

Psalm 27:8 “My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”

Our third lesson from Daniel about praying in and through a crisis is, I Let God Speak to Me Before I Speak to Him. And this is huge. I pray through a crisis when I let God speak to me before I speak to Him. We often pray in a hurry. Calm down because everything originates from God, everything. Read the rest of this entry

On My Knees

Psalm 95:6-7 “So come, let us worship: bow before him, on your knees before God, who made us! Oh yes, he’s our God, and we’re the people he pastures, the flock he feeds.” (MSG)

Our final thought yesterday was focused on church history and how many of the early Christians were martyred and killed for being followers of Jesus. Many of them were crucified, but history has it that a lot of them, including Peter, when they were about to be crucified begged their prosecutors, Read the rest of this entry

Honour God

Daniel 9:4&9 “…I said, “Lord God, you are great, and we honour you. You are faithful to your covenant and show constant love to those who love you and do what you command… You are merciful and forgiving…” (GNT, emphasis added).

You may be in God’s presence today thinking, ‘Is God really good? I know God is good sometimes but is God really good all the time?’ Take a moment, think about it. Is God really good all the time? The fact that you can think about it is evidence of God’s goodness. Read the rest of this entry

How To

Psalm 77:7-9 “Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me? Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he slammed the door on his compassion?”

The dictionary defines crisis as a time of intense difficulty or danger, a time when a difficult or important decision must be made. People experience crisis at different seasons in life. And sometimes, the entire world is plunged into a crisis like during the COVID 19 pandemic. Read the rest of this entry

Your Response, IV

Psalm 34:5 “Look to Him and shine, so shame will never contort your faces.” (Voice)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is that where you look determines what flows to you. Are you looking at the Source of light or are you looking at social media and what is trending? Are you looking at which celebrity is saying what, or what is going on in the news? Doors

Revelation 4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”

Doors are a consistent concept in Scripture. In fact, doors are mentioned about four hundred times in the Bible. We have been engaging the concept of doors representing the options of the future that is ahead of us in this decade of destiny, this decade of light. Read the rest of this entry

Remember

Deuteronomy 8:2 “Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.”

You cannot be mighty and be petty at the same time. People who are easily offended are not usually great. People who are easily offended are usually mediocre, average. But you are going to be great, you are not going to be mediocre or average in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Just Pray

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

Prayer is the difference between what you can achieve by your own strength and what God can achieve by His own strength. When you look at the impossibilities in life, the gap usually is a prayer gap. Apart from offense, another thing that has hindered a lot of people from really praying is going by their feelings. Read the rest of this entry

The Gap

Ephesians 6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready. Never give up. Always pray for all of God’s people.” (ERV)

Prayer is a conversation; you speak to God, and you are spoken to by God. So, prayer is not just talking, prayer is also listening, and hearing. But God says always pray in the Spirit, never stop praying, never give up. So, when do we listen, and when will we hear Him? Read the rest of this entry

Next We Pray!

James 5:16 “Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.” (LB)

So, the first thing is to Secure Your Next Step and the second thing is to Realize And Embrace The Fact That ‘We Are Better Together’. And our final thought from yesterday was to be generous, not stingy with compliments. Read the rest of this entry
