In It

Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (KJV).

Yesterday, we began to look at the first of three reasons why people do not see and experience the full spectrum of Sõzõ. And the first reason is Ignorance. Ephesians 4:18 “They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.” (NIV). Hardness of heart brings about spiritual blindness Read the rest of this entry

Death Benefits

Psalm 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah (NKJV, emphasis added).

Guess what? There is nothing you are doing today that surprises Jesus – nothing! So why are you running? Jesus took care of your sin past, present, and future. Knowing this truth stops you from running from God because that is where you can get your deliverance from whatever is holding you bound. Read the rest of this entry

His Praise

Ps.104:31 “May the glory of the Lord continue forever! The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!”

What price are you willing to pay so that you can live like few will? One of my colleagues said, ‘Your neck is growing thinner and thinner, what is going on?’ I said, ‘We are fasting’ and the look on her face was, is it not the same fast all of us are doing? The key thing is, the price you are willing to embrace, the sacrifice you are willing to embrace is what will separate you from the pack. God is taking you on an uncommon path because of the uncommon dream that He has for you. You have to embrace your path; you have to embrace your own story. It is not according to the books, but it is your story, and it is for God’s glory.

God’s dream for you is a good dream and it is a journey of uncommon paths. And on this journey, we encounter things like the prison and other things that we perceive as torment. But could it be that God wants to use the things that torment us to mentor us? Read the rest of this entry

Trustworthy

2 Chro.16:9 “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

Gen.22:2-3Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about.” Read the rest of this entry

In Obedience

John 2:5 “But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Righteousness and Single-mindedness are the two things that must be in place for us to take bold steps towards God. We have dealt extensively in days past with righteousness and yesterday we began to look at single-mindedness first in prayer. Yesterday we looked at the examples of Joshua and Elijah. Cold or Hot?

Rev.3:15-16 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”

As we approach the end of the year, I am usually pulled in two directions emotionally. On one hand, I am really excited about what God has done already, all the jaw-dropping testimonies, things that only God’s favour can secure. Read the rest of this entry

The Price

Mark 15:34 “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (NKJV)

Jesus’ first Words on the cross were, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”. The second Words on the cross were, “I say to you, you will be with me in paradise”. The third Words on the cross were, “woman behold your son”. Read the rest of this entry

His Pleasure & Promise

Psalm 16:11 “Because of you, I know the path of life, as I taste the fullness of joy in your presence. At your right side I experience divine pleasures forevermore!” [TPT].

I was in a mentorship session with about forty or so other pastors some time ago with a great man of God in the United States. And he had us introduce ourselves to each other because we did not know each other. Read the rest of this entry

By Prayer

2 Kings 20:2-3 “Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.” (NIV).

We kick-off today’s devotional by reading 2 Kings 20:1-6. The Bible says that Hezekiah was at the point of death; but the point of prayer can erase the point of death. Hezekiah made a case for himself. Read the rest of this entry

Trustworthy & True

Psalm 111:7 “All God accomplishes is flawless, faithful, and fair, and his every word proves trustworthy and true.” (TPT)

There are things that God wants to do with you that sound crazy. There are also things that God has told you to do for Him that look crazy to you. Are you going to trust God, take the step and look like an idiot? Read the rest of this entry
