Fruiting
Matt.7:20 “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.”
Gal. 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (emphasis added). Just like the growing fruit on a natural tree is visible to everyone, when the fruit of the Spirit is growing in us, it is also visible to everyone. Read the rest of this entry
Champion?
Judges 6:12 “The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!”
I can imagine that Gideon was probably alarmed because what the Angel was saying was nothing close to what he could see with his own two eyes. Read the rest of this entry
By Blood
Gal.4:6 [ERV] “Since you are now God’s children, He has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts. The Spirit cries out, “Abba, Father.”
The abundance of God can only come by inheritance. You and I have to be in the lineage of God to inherit eternal life. We have to be aligned with God. The Jews believe that they are the children of Abraham and therefore, children of God. Read the rest of this entry
Seed Principle
2 Sam.24:24 “No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing.” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen.”
David bought that threshing floor because he made up his mind not to give God worthless sacrifices. When God was going to build the temple of Solomon, guess where He put it? The temple of Solomon is sitting on the threshing floor of Onan the Jebusite. Imagine the harvest from David’s life flowing through generations because he refused to give a seed that cost him nothing.
Fight Back
Heb.4:2 “Those people in the wilderness heard God’s good news, just as we have heard it, but the message they heard didn’t do them any good since it wasn’t combined with faith. [Voice]
The farmer’s work does not stop when he plants, in actual sense that is just the beginning. The second thing the farmer needs to do to provide the right condition for the seed, is to protect it against pests, animals, and infections. Pay close attention because this is really important. You need to guard your seed! The reality is that when the farmer plants, he actually enters a phase of warfare because from planting to harvesting is battle.
Words of Life
John 6:63 “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life”.
The soil facilitates three things – death, stability and continuous nourishment. The soil is a place of continuous nourishment. The water and nutrients that the plants need reach the plant through the root via the soil. When you tell children to water a plant, most often, they pour the water on the leaves of the plant. And it is because they do not know that the water actually goes in through the root. No root, no nourishment. No nourishment, no fruit. No fruit, no harvest. That is not the place to be.
Die Daily
1 Cor.15: 31 “[I assure you]… I die daily [I face death every day and die to self]” [AMPC].
No matter how much potential the seed has, the seed remains a seed until it is planted and it dies. Many people are planted in marriage but they have refused to die to themselves. And this is the reason so many marriages are hitting the rocks today. The people in it are not dead to themselves or dead to their arrogance. Spouses are still so full of pride; everybody is talking back at everybody. Until you die, you cannot produce. Read the rest of this entry
Planted?
Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel (seed) of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives” [with emphasis].
Every thing you see today is as a result of the seed somebody gave. However, it is possible to leave that seed on the table. But guess what? In five years, it will still be just a seed. The reason is because the table is not the Right Soil for the seed. If you put that seed in your wardrobe among your clothes, nothing will happen no matter how much time passes. Meanwhile, that same seed could have produced forest upon forest. Read the rest of this entry
Precious Seed II
2 Cor. 9:10 “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” [NKJV]
Gal.6:7-8 “Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God! harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.” May you not harvest a crop of weeds! Some people are selfish to themselves, not to even talk of their spouses. If you want to know a selfish man, ask his wife.
Precious Seed I
Gen.8:22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest …will never cease.”
God says, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest …will never cease”. This is not a theory that will expire. This is the Old Testament versus New Testament. I know that sometimes it can be painful to sow because some seeds are precious seeds. God acknowledges that some seeds are precious but this is what He promises concerning such seeds; Ps.126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” [KJV, with emphasis].
