Whose Are You?
Ps.100:3 [ERV] “Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him. We are his people, the sheep he takes care of.”
You are young only once but you can remain immature for life. Even spiritually, you are young only once. Sadly, there are people that are thirty years old spiritually but immature. Meanwhile, some people, barely two years after getting saved, reach maturity. Read the rest of this entry
For His Glory
Ex.23:30 [Voice] “Rather, I will drive them out a little at a time—a few here, a few there—until your numbers grow and you are strong enough to take over the land and its care.”
Your growth is linked to your destiny. If you do not grow, if you do not increase in capacity, you cannot fulfill your destiny. Even though God was fighting for the nation of Israel, He still did not drive out all their enemies at once. Read the rest of this entry
Special Ability V
Acts 2:46 “They shared their meals with great joy and generosity” [with emphasis]
To have God’s blessing that keeps intensifying we must Be Willing To Sacrifice. By God’s grace, we are not strangers to sacrificial living in God’s Favourite House. Read the rest of this entry
Special Ability II
Acts 2:11 “…ALL OF US hear them speaking in our own languages about the great things that God has done!” [TEV, with emphasis]
Today’s Scripture reference has two major implications for us. The first is that God has put you in your church family to reach someone no one else can reach. Read the rest of this entry
Special Ability I
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The number one way to get God’s power is prayer. Acts 1:14 “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer…” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry
J.O.Y.
Matt.23:37 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
J.O.Y. – Jesus first, yourself last and others in between; a formula for joy taught in Sunday school based on our scripture reference for today. Jesus has already made peace for you with God by making you right with God. Focus on pleasing God alone and not performing to impress any man. Read the rest of this entry
You Must V
1Cor.13:4 “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged”
Remember our closing story from yesterday’s devotional? We will be taking our answer to the question of who moved a step further today. The seat that was between the couple at the end of the pastor’s message was now filled and the question is, who moved? The person that should move is the person that is closer to God.
Contact Point
Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel (seed) of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives”
Jn.3:30 “He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.” The power of God is going to be fruitful in your life. The point of contact you have brought into God’s Presence these past days will work for you. Even if you did not bring any item, l will let you in on a secret. Read the rest of this entry
Hunger Rate
Ps.63:1 “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water” [NKJV]
The third thing that increases the rate of energy transfer is hunger. The rate of change of temperature in electricity is called the potential difference. Energy flows from high potential to low potential – potential difference. In other words, all power belongs to God and He is able to make it available to us. But the amount that flows to me is determined by how hungry I am. Read the rest of this entry
Do Right III
2 Cor. 9:6 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” [NIV, with emphasis].
Only a crazy farmer will buy three hectares of bare land and get angry because there is no crop on the land. A lot of people want to get out of financial challenges but are not willing to sow. Keep praying but prayer alone will not change the situation. This is another truth you need to know and action you need to take. You need to give. When you have a need you sow a seed. Why? There is a seed for every need and the seed will meet the need.
