Final Say

Ps.64:6-7 “As they plot their crimes, they say, “We have devised the perfect plan!” Yes, the human heart and mind are cunning. But God himself will shoot them with his arrows, suddenly striking them down.”

Before the enemy can afflict people, he always strikes them with fear, prophesying what he wants to do. The enemy always tries to copy everything God does because he is a loser. For instance, he would say to a traveller, ‘you know you are not coming back from this journey?’ Read the rest of this entry

Awesome Company

Heb.12: 23 “You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect.”

Let this consciousness be in you; you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the Living God and to countless thousands of angels. Read the rest of this entry

Appraise Yourself

Gal.6:4 (Philips) “Let everyone learn to assess properly the value of his own work.  Then he can be rightly proud when he has done something worth doing, without depending on the approval of others” [with emphasis]

Col.3:24 (GN)“… Remember that the Lord will reward you… For Christ is the real Master you serve” [with emphasis]. The only person that needs to appreciate your work is God. And He will appreciate it if it is worthy of appreciation. Read the rest of this entry

Quality Check

Matt.5:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavour… 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden… 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

The quality of your work can speak for you in places and ways that you cannot even speak for yourself. God wants us to work so that we can be examples to others. Remember Daniel? He was not going around with a mega phone preaching Jehovah. Read the rest of this entry

Work

3 John 1:2 (KJV) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Today, I pray that God Himself will breathe on you and give you experiences that you will not forget in a hurry, in Jesus Mighty Name. Statistics show that forty percent of our waking hours are spent at work. Read the rest of this entry

Antidote I

Isa.62:4 No more will anyone call you Rejected, and your country will no more be called Ruined. You’ll be called Hephzibah (My Delight), and your land Beulah (Married), Because God delights in you and your land will be like a wedding celebration [MSG]

When we look at life through the eyes of the “fear of rejection”, we are unable to see the hurt of others and so we miss opportunities to minister to people in need. Picture this, Sister A walks past Sister B in church and does not respond to her greeting. Sister B takes offense and throws a pity party in her heart – ‘how could she do that? No body likes me in this church! Look at her, who can even like someone with such a nose?’ As God would have it, they both boarded the same bus one day and Sister A greets Sister B so warmly and Read the rest of this entry

Jesus Is Worthy!

Rev.5:7 He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. 8 And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb… 9And they sang… “You are worthy to take the scroll…

Sacrifice releases the power that enthrones and makes ordinary men worthy of extra-ordinary privileges. Every God given destiny cannot be attained without sacrifice. God depends on sacrifice to establish men’s destinies. It is what you give to God that secures your place. You have to pay the price in prayer – pray! Pay the price in fasting – fast! Pay the price in commitment. You have to pay the price in studying.  2 Tim.2:15 [KJV]Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. Take note; there is a price tag on everything. Read the rest of this entry

Sacrifice

Prov.20:25 Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.”

The GAP between where you are and where you ought to be cannot be bridged without sacrifice. Jesus says that, which of you wanting to build a house does not sit down and first count the cost. Can I do this with these resources or do I need to do it in phases? The truth is that every God given destiny cannot be attained without sacrifice. Sacrifice releases the power that enthrones and makes ordinary men worthy of extraordinary privileges.

At What Cost?

Luke 14:28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?”

Before I surrendered to Jesus, there was a testimony that was making headlines. It was about a university student that had all her priorities wrong; she was evangelizing instead of being in class, at night vigils instead of reading, arranging chairs in church instead of doing her assignments. Is that not foolishness? Is that what God has sent her to do?

When exams came, she did not know anything. So she laid hands on and prayed over her blank answer sheet. The truth we need to Read the rest of this entry

Competency

Prov.22:29 “Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people”

The third way to increase worthiness or to become worthy is to be competent. Competence particularly is a burden. There are so many people that love God and are tongue talking but are totally incompetent. A lady was trying to sell a product to me but it was obvious she did not even know the product. In the past I have made up my mind not to let anyone waste my time; instead I switch off from the conversation. When she noticed I was switching off she said, “But I come to your church!” My response was, “That even Read the rest of this entry
