Love Unstoppable
Matt. 28:2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. 4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.
When you look at that story in John 20:1-20 [please read], it almost does not make sense that Jesus would put so much at stake just to respond to Mary. However, the reason why He would do that is because He is love. Read the rest of this entry
The Way
Heb.12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne” [with emphasis].
Do you want to sit in the place of honour God has for you and your destiny? If your answer is yes, then you must keep your eyes on the joy while you go through the pain. It is not about the pain, it is about the joy. Read the rest of this entry
Through Death
Jn.12:24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives.” [with emphasis].
It is so important that we understand that the way of the Father is the way of love that leads to life through sacrifice. God is saying the seed needs to die, not to be exterminated but to produce an abundant harvest. Read the rest of this entry
For The Glory
Jn.3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Love is costly; God gave His Son and Jesus went to the cross. The way of love is costly. The way of love is the way of sacrifice. Love is sacrificial. Read the rest of this entry

Hungry?
Matt.12:20 “A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.” [KJV]

Find Life
Heb.12:2 (NKJV) “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The power over the way of self and the power over the way of the world, comes from being fully persuaded, fully convinced that God has the best for you. Read the rest of this entry
Pick It Up
Jn.12:24 “Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” (NRSV, with emphasis).
Abraham was a classic example of giving up life to find life. Abraham, in the place of waiting on God for a child decided to help God. As if God had forgotten how to make children. Abraham produced Ishmael and God in His mercy chose to bless Ishmael. Read the rest of this entry
Give It Up
Luke 9:23 “Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. 24 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”
We concluded yesterday’s devotional by saying that the glory that comes from you going to the cross is more important than the temporal victory you are seeking. For this reason, sometimes, Read the rest of this entry
His Will Not Yours
Matt.26:39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
The Bible tells us again that in Matt.26:42 Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.” 44 So he went to pray a third time, saying the same things again.” After reading this, Read the rest of this entry
