You Don’t Lose

How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?” Gal.3:3.

“Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross” Gal.3:1. When we take our eyes off Jesus, when He ceases to be enough for us, we’ll find ourselves going back to the things He delivered us from. The Bible says ye are gods, so let us Read the rest of this entry

Don’t Be Deceived II

“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding” Col.1:9

It is dangerous to depend on visions or revelations to confirm who you are in Christ Jesus. Someone can speak to you about a dream or a vision but it should align with what God is telling you, or what you know God will have you do in accordance with His Word. It shouldn’t mystify or intimidate you. It shouldn’t make you want to add anything to Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Don’t Be Deceived I

“For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body” Col.2:9

The lack of sufficiency in Christ can be made up of four things: Rationalism, Legalism, Mysticism, or asceticism. Rationalism simply means human wisdom – explain it. Like the blind man, you can’t explain the blessings of God; it comes because the Bible says that For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. You can’t explain God, you can’t explain Read the rest of this entry

Jesus Alone!

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing’ John 15:5

A lot of us are under extreme pressure from people who are debating our faith and our trust in God. And sometimes, it is because of the circumstances we are in. Perhaps you are a single lady/man trusting God for a life partner and people are suggesting to you what you should do and how you should go about getting a life partner. Some of us are being deceived into Read the rest of this entry

Enough!

For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power” Col.2:9-10 [TLB]

Jesus is enough! What does the word enough mean? The dictionary defines enough to mean: adequate for a want or need. Enough means to be sufficient for a purpose or to satisfy the desire. Enough can be interchanged with sufficient because sufficient also means adequate for a purpose or enough. These words might be interchanged as we go on, so please take note. How Will You Respond?

“One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?” John 5:5-6

The pool of Siloam was God’s answer to healing for a lot of the people at the time. When it gets stirred, the first person that gets in gets healed regardless of the disease. This man had been there for thirty-eight years waiting for his turn – his own answer. But each time the pool was stirred, before he could get in, somebody always got in before him. Jesus was Read the rest of this entry

What Do You Know?

Then, surrounded by the Pharisees, Jesus asked them a question: “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied, “He is the Son of David” Matt.22:41-42.

Then The Answer [Jesus] introduces a twist to the questions flying back and forth. Jesus, The Answer, asks a question. When Jesus asks you a question it is definitely not to gain insight because He already knows the answer. When The Answer asks you a question it’s one of two things; it’s either He wants to shut you up or He wants to help you. In the above quoted Read the rest of this entry

Ask

“Jesus replied, “Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God had originally intended. And I tell you this, whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery—unless his wife has been unfaithful.” Matt.19:8-9

Today we will be dealing with the follow up question to the question on marriage. “Jesus’ disciples then said to him, “If this is the case, it is better not to marry! “Not everyone can accept this statement,” Jesus said. “Only those whom God helpsMatt.19:10-11. Until you see that it is better not to marry, you are not fit to marry. What I mean is this; until you see Read the rest of this entry

Address The Source

“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” Matt.19:4

Don’t you just like David? David shows up on the scene, sees goliath, and asks what are they going to give to the person who takes down this giant? [Please read 1 Sam.17] David was negotiating his reward before he took on the battle. People may say how can he be so selfish? Is he not an Israelite? Can’t he do it for patriotism? David says, ‘No, I see things differently. Read the rest of this entry

You Will Be Rewarded!

“Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” John 8:4-5

What a question! The question on adultery; Please read John 8:1-11. How can it only be the woman that was caught? Can a woman commit adultery by herself? So where is the man? They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger” John 8:6. Jesus was probably infuriated Read the rest of this entry
