Prized Possession
Isa. 49:15-16 “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.”
I am confident that the God of heaven, The One that can open, and no one can shut, will open the heavens over your life in the Name of Jesus. It is important for you to say ‘Amen’ because this is like a spiritual transaction. God will do His part, but you have to do your part. Read the rest of this entry
The One
Daniel 4:34 “After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honoured the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal.”
King Nebuchadnezzar is an example of someone who forgot that God was his source and began to look to ‘Nile’. God had prospered him and given him multiple victories and conquests. God in His mercy had previously warned Nebuchadnezzar in a dream, but time passed, and nothing happened. Read the rest of this entry
For You
Isaiah 43:4 “You are precious to me, and I have given you a special place of honour. I love you. That’s why I am willing to trade others, to give up whole nations, to save your life.” (ERV)
Mark 8:22-26 “When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?” The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.” Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly. Jesus sent him away, saying, “Don’t go back into the village on your way home.” Read the rest of this entry
His Flow
Mark 8:26 “And He sent him away to his house, telling [him], Do not [even] enter the village or tell anyone there.” (AMPC)
For some of us, Bethsaida represents a place where people will not believe in you. Sometimes these people are your relatives or your childhood friends. Bethsaida represents a place where you are commonized and you cannot achieve your potential. Read the rest of this entry
Sustainer
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, you will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you” (TPT)
What an assurance! Mark 8:25 “Jesus put his hands over the man’s eyes a second time and made him look up. The man opened his eyes wide and he could see everything perfectly. His eyesight was completely restored!” (TPT). Read the rest of this entry
Two Things
2 Cor. 8:7 “Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us—I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.”
How can my life give thanks to God? By Singing From My Heart, by Thanking God In Prayer, by Telling Others The Good News. Fourthly, by Giving An Offering Back To God. Thanks and giving go together, that is why it is called thanksgiving. Read the rest of this entry
Tell It!
Luke 2:17-18 “After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished.”
The Bible says, give thanks by telling the world, not by keeping it to yourself. I had a coursemate in university, neat, always tucking in. But in retrospect, I realized that whenever we are abusing lecturers or talking about ‘bad’ things, he would not say anything. Read the rest of this entry
Who He Is, I
Ps.50:23 “… giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honours me.” (emphasis added)
When you are grateful, you cannot really be anxious. When you actually worship, you cannot be worrying, they cannot coexist. You have to choose one, is it going to be worry or is it going to be worship? Is it going to be anxiety or is it going to be gratitude? Read the rest of this entry
Haste Not, Waste Not
Prov.19:2-3 “Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes. People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.” (emphasis added).
Do Not Confuse Outrage For Courage and Do Not Rush are two out of the three things crucial in taking bold steps in life. Prov. 20: 25 “It is foolish and rash to make a promise to the Lord before counting the cost.” (LB). Read the rest of this entry
